Semetu Camp is an Oasis in the vastness of the Serengeti. The central area has a lovely open area bar with fire pit as it does get chilly. The dining area is simple but well appointed and the food options are great. The staff are, as always in Tanzania, exceptional. The individual accommodation rooms are for the most part canvas walled with an excellent shower. I can’t stress how important this is after a dusty day on safari. The veranda area looks out onto the Serengeti plane and at night, you can hear the wildlife nearby. That in itself is amazing. Each unit also has a fire pit and the staff will light it if required. A great way to see the sunset, which is spectacular. The rooms are well appointed but be aware that there is no ac, just a ceiling fan, and due to solar power only, no hair dryers are permitted. No big deal at all. In fact it’s reassuring that the environmental footprint is small. At night, you are collected from your room by vehicle due to the risk of wandering wildlife. How good is that!

A Great Safari. We had a fantastic experience in Tanzania. We got to See the big 5 After just a few days. Lodges were also comfortable Even in the middle of the bush..They also gave us the possibility to spend some days in Zanzibar. What a bash! We will be back and we highly recommend them.

Very Nice camp, the rooms are amazing, the staff is friendly! Our host was Ramadhan, a very nice young man, with a lot of knowledge, sense of humor and very helpful! The place is amazing you feel like sleeping in the bushes but in a luxury way! I have the opportunity to experience some elephants just right out of my window, be side the view and the fact that you are sleeping in the Serengeti National park 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

Superbe expérience, le lieu est extraordinaire, au milieu de la savane se trouve un paradis : sametu camp L’équipe au petit soin et particulièrement Ramadhan qui c’est occupé de nous tout au long de notre séjour. C est une expérience à vivre !!!

Experiencia 100% recomendable. Las instalaciones del hotel están muy bien cuidadas y nuevas. La habitación grande con terraza privada. A veces se ven animales desde la habitación. El personal muy amable y atento, sobre todo John, que estuvo por nosotros durante toda la estancia. Muchas gracias por todo!

Het romantische bushdiner dat ik op de website zag, had ik vooraf moeten reserveren. Tot onze grote verrassing was er toen we kwamen eten toch speciaal voor ons een tafel buiten op het terras gedekt. Een lief gebaar dat we enorm hebben gewaardeerd.

Nous avons passé un merveilleux séjour au Sametu Camp qui est idéalement placé au centre du Serengeti. C’est Dereva qui s’est principalement occupé de nous. Dereva est très accueillant, attentionné et à l’écoute de nos besoins. Il a contribué fortement à rendre ce séjour parfait, nous le recommandons vivement.

Nous n'avons eu l'occasion de passer qu'une seule nuit au Serengeti Sametu Camp, mais c'était une nuit incroyable. L’accueil est hors du commun et les infrastructures ainsi que le repas sont digne d'un très bon hôtel. Les vues depuis les chambres sont juste à couper le souffle. Je n'en croyais pas les yeux et pourtant il me semble que j'ai bien passé la nuit au milieu de la savane. Nous avions comme guide Nuruel Peter qui est un guide exceptionnel. Au réveil de Serengeti Sametu Camp nous avons eu l'occasion grâce à notre guide de voir plusieurs lionnes avec leurs bébés (parfois tout petit) ainsi que des guépards d’extrêmement près !! Bref, je recommande fortement ce Camp. À vous d'y créer des souvenirs inoubliables...
