Freundliches Personal, insbesondere beim stimmungsvollen Frühstück im Hauptgebäude. Gute Ausstattung und fantastische Lage. Wir waren im Mai in einem Nebengebäude zu Gast - gut möglich, dass die sehr zentrale Lage im Sommer auch nachteilig sein kann (unruhig etc.).

This is the third time we have stayed at this magical hotel- the first time was on our honeymoon 25 years ago, then at our 10th anniversary and this time, our silver wedding. We stayed in the Tower Suite- it was beautiful. Fabulous views across the water, very clean and well appointed. The bath in the bedroom window was luxurious and the sauna was a real treat! All of the staff were friendly and helpful. The restaurant is smart and menu deli y. We found the service to be excellent. Veere itself is a treat to explore. We hired bikes and cycled to the local town, Middelburg- where there was a food market which we enjoyed strolling through. All in all, a wonderful stay in a very special place.

hier ga ik echt nooit meer heen want om voor zo,n hoge prijs ook nog af gesnouwt te worden nee dank je want de vrouwelijke bediening daar was alles mis mee ze gooide meerdere keren drank om ook over de klanten snouwen naar de mensen en het duurde een half uur voor dat ze een bestelling op kwamen nemen na dat ik er wat van gezegd had

Upon arrival the room was unacceptable and smelled to the point it was not habitable. We were told there were no options so me tried to seek other accommodations. After securing another hotel the manager of the hotel found a way to accommodate us in a smaller non view room. Given the drive to the alternate hotel we accepted the offer. Upon checkin the rate we had paid for the uninhabitable room was more expensive than the small non view room and the manager refused to make any adjustment. Given the hour and our plans we decided to just accept the terms. We also had dinner reservations at the hotel restaurant. Hoping things would take a turn for the better we decided to have dinner at the hotel. What a mistake! Arguably the dinner was the worse food and service we have ever experienced. The bill for 2 people was 250 euro. We left hungry and shocked at the poor service and awful food.

Nous voudrions vous remercier pour l’accueil très chaleureux que nous avons eu chez vous, le bon repas, la literie, le bon petit déjeuner dans un lieu très authentique et chargé d’histoire. Le dépaysement était total.

Heerlijk gedineerd, verrassende keuze van ingredienten. Goede smaak combinaties. Presentatie zou iets beter kunnen. Esthetischer. Heerlijke filet van Pieterman, echt smaakvol visje in deze tijd van het jaar. Desert was super lekker, Appeltje/Calvados etc.

It was Tuesday and we got the last table on the terrace for lunch. Bread with beef kroket was average. But bread with tuna salad was delicious. The drinks and food came quick. Staff were friendly. Location was great. Toilet was clean, but on the second floor with pretty unbalanced steps.

Sfeer, fijne bediening en superlekker dinner, complimenten! Kamer 1, ja 500 jaar oud he, dus super vanuit historisch oogpunt. Prima kamer nu met goed sanitair en eigen koffie en theefaciliteit. Mooi uitzicht, prima bed, locatie top, aanrader!!

The photos of this location are very nice but if you don’t score a room in the main building, it’s a lot less nice: hot in the summer, stairs up with your luggage so the price in the summer is too high for the kind of accommodation.Restaurant good in great location but wine selection too limited.
