I’m an experienced traveler and have stayed in hotels all over the world. As you can see from my profile I have contributed over 100 reviews on Trip Advisor and I always try to give a balanced opinion, a positive one if it all possible. Here I review the Alua Gran Camp de Mar Mallorca. We stayed from 27th May 2024 all-inclusive for one week and unfortunately our holiday started off with a negative. I booked the holiday with Jet2 and reserved two superior front facing sea view rooms and paid the premium price for those rooms, I have the official letter of confirmation with me here. Unfortunately on arrival we were bumped out of those rooms with a lame excuse about their booking system being faulty. I didn’t believe that for a minute. The check-in lady then mentioned a hotel in Magaluf but I had no intention of staying there. She then looked on her system and found us two more basic rooms 435 & 436 with a side sea view in a dark overlooked corner in the shady western block. To be honest the rooms were in a rubbish position, probably two of the worse rooms in the hotel, but better than staying at Magaluf. We were offered two bottles of Cava as compensation but I passed on that. I spoke with the Jet2 rep about this and she said it was the hotels decision as Jet2 had made the booking in good faith and it was officially confirmed as per the letter and we should have been given those rooms, that was the contract. In the past I have had frank discussions with general managers of hotels about any issues, but as we were only here for a week I just didn’t want to spend the time. And it was our first holiday away as a family since I lost my wife so I wanted to keep things calm. But having paid Jet2 around £5200- for a week’s holiday for four people I was bitterly disappointed as to how we were treated by the hotel. I would expect a much higher standard from a 4* establishment. On a more positive note, apart from the problem with the rooms, we did enjoy the hotel and would certainly like to stay here again if this issue can be resolved to my satisfaction. The buffet restaurant is huge, the booze and soft drinks can be found at either ends of the room. Beer and Sangria on tap and abundant bottles of wine, red white and rose nearby. Just help yourself. At breakfast the coffee and juice machines are dotted here and there around the restaurant. The breakfast service ends at 10am but another smaller restaurant next to the main one then opens until 12 for late risers. The food is very nice, a really big selection something for everyone. At the main servery there are two griddles where the chefs cook up fish on one and meat on the other. Opposite across the room there is a smaller servery where they do different specials each day. We enjoyed the variety and really enjoyed the tapas evening. There is a dress code for the evening meal but it is ignored and not enforced. You can dress up if you wish and a lot of the women do and look very nice. A lot of the men wear s

Was a bit disappointed with this hotel. It was clean & had a great location. Good shower in the room & comfy beds. I asked reception for a kettle which was delivered straight away Food was a bit hit & miss. There was a Chinese selection one night & the spring rolls were hot on the outside but still frozen on the inside, I complained but they were not removed. There were long queues at night to get a drink from the bar & I have never experienced a bar & lobby shutting at 11.00 pm. Make sure you take a flask to get water which you can asked to be filled at the bar. There is no bottled water unless you pay for it from the vending machine in reception. Adult section was good with a couple of hot tubs & a bar. If you have a late check out you can only have breakfast with the all inclusive !!! Most hotels you are covered until you leave. Nice beach, lovely weather but I will not be returning.

Just got home from a 5-night trip to Camp de Mar and absolutely thrilled with our choice of Alua Gran. The location is just stunning. So peaceful and chilled out with gorgeous views. There are a few shops, supermarket, restaurants and really nice ice-cream shop nearby too. Camp de Mar is also a great location to visit other interesting places on the island. We went all-inclusive and enjoyed the food. Breakfast is great with loads of choice. Lunch and dinner are a bit samey but that tends to happen with all-inclusive. I was with my two teen daughters and we all could easily find something we were happy to eat for all meals. We only watched entertainment on one evening and it was a Tina Turner act, who was great! The staff all seem very friendly and helpful. The hotel and grounds are all very clean and well-kept. All in all, I wouldn’t hesitate to recommended and visit again. Thank you! ❤️💛

We have booked to go to the Alua Gran Camp de Mar through on the beach and have been trying to make contact with the hotel to request that our 3 x rooms are adjoining. I have sent 3 emails so far, over the past few weeks and have tried to call at different times throughout the day, with no response. Has anyone managed to contact this hotel please?

We throughly enjoyed our stay at Alua Gran and would return again. Hotel is clean, well looked after with excellent staff. There was a good drink selection, and you could get iced coffees and even Aperol spritz drinks made for you using local spirits. Food was plentiful and a good variety along with the standard pizza / pasta. We enjoyed the cheese selection and deserts (chocolate fountains and sweets a hit with young and old!). Pool side food cooked to order most of the day and is great if you don’t want to head into restaurant for lunch. Location is perfect, the bay is beautiful and the hotel has plenty of seating to enjoy this. We never struggled to get a sunbed when we went to the pool. The entertainment team work hard and we enjoyed most of the evening shows (better than other all inclusive resorts we have been to!). The mini disco was a bit of a let down, not the hotels fault but not many children attended so we tended to not rush our evening meal for it. Staff were enthusiastic and engaging when we did go though! My only real criticism is that the pool wasn’t as clean as it could be. The children’s section was full of sand and there was lots of leaves / debris in the main pool too. It didn’t spoil our enjoyment, but is was something I noted that let the hotel down. My son was disappointed with the all inclusive pool side ice cream selection, only option was a pot of ice cream - it would have been nice to have some ice lolly type options too. The rooms are comfortable, clean and had everything we needed. There were 3 of us in our room and it was fine for space. We were a mixed group of family aged from 6 months to 66 and everyone enjoyed their stay here and would return. High praise indeed!
