What a wonderful place to stay, I had stayed here before with friends on a Moto Tour so knew what to expect, my expectations were surpassed, it’s a really lovely place to stay. On this trip I was with my wife, I had talked up Convento Da Serta before arrival and we both agreed the out of 9 good hotels on our Spain & Portugal Tour this was the best by far. * Chaves as a town has character, charm and is very pleasant to walk around. * Convento Da Serta, is in a prime position, elevated above the old town * There are good bars and restaurants within easy walking distance * The hotel itself is a charming and a very well adapted stone built Convent, there is a small pool, easy parking on site, the rooms are excellently appointed with good views over the town some have small private balconies all have Air Con. The staff are very attentive and both eager to please and keen to help you get the best out of your stay at the hotel and the area surrounding the town if you have time to explore. * Breakfast service was freshly prepared, presented well and staffed to cope with the demand, the food itself was very good. * The restaurant recommendations were spot on we chose one that was recommended it was lovely (see separate review, for Ponte Romano)

The best hostel I've ever gone, quality price best, beds over, my cheap uy, private and good bathroom, room without defects or old furniture, everything beautiful and modern, wooden beds, stone walls, rustic and cosy decoration, nice staff, and the village has a very chulo river for bath****, we even bath at night, have good access and is very pleasant, although we were just going to the village for the price of the hostel, overcome our expectations

The room was good, big and clean. Breakfast with good quality. We went out of the summer season, so we did not had the chance to try the inside pool. However the inside one was nice, and we enjoy it. The hotel is located outside of the village, but as we went by car for us it was no problem. Free parking at the hotel. Great landscape view at the balcony.

Excellent way to finish your holiday! Sympathy and excellent service! We were served with a divine meal and an unexpected will be with live music! Good pool for a quiet afternoon end. We are in a superior suite with a good area for us and a 10-year-old child! The view is very good, one will be fun and a quiet night.
