Our family had a wonderful time here! While my son in law was out tiger fishing on the Zambezi, my daughter, granddaughters & I enjoyed a sun downer boat cruise one afternoon, birding around the pool another, and on a third day we went on a 3 hour birding cruise. All activities were arranged by the lodge, as well as airport transfers. The guides were fantastic. The manageress couldn't have been more helpful! The tents were clean and comfortable. The food was good, although the lunch/dinner menu is a bit limited.

We were staying elsewhere and made a booking with Katharina to do a birding trip from Mubala. From the minute we arrived, much earlier than booked, to the time we left after sunset we were treated like full time guests by all the staff. Lunch was superb, drinks cold, and possibly one of the highlights of our 6-week trip through Namibia and Botswana was the birding trip on the Zambezi River with Jimmy, the guide. Thank you, the staff of Mubala, for a wonderful experience, our next booking in the area will be with you.

Our group stayed for one night only in the pre erected tents. This is truly a beautiful setting in serene surroundings. Friendly and accommodating staff. The tents offer all you need for a self catering stay. The tents were clean, with enough warm water. The bedding and towels are in need of replacing. I fully understand that Covid and the lack of tourists are the main reason for this. It was not great to see worn-out towels and linen to the degree were you felt uncomfortable using it. This was our only gripe. It feels as if you are staying in a massive garden in the middle of nature. If it was not for the surrounds, I would have to give a lower rating.

Had a well deserved rest there... despite being self-catering, EVERYTHING was provided for. we needed nothing else just our food, and if we didn't have that, then we could buy it at their very well-stocked curio shop. The welcome was friendly, manager and staff. and the service was great, The setting in the garden creates such an a**osphere of relaxation. very informal as it was a Self-catering venue, but that was also great as we could truly relax

We had a lovely two night stay at this camp. Tented safari rooms, well equipped with all the necessary utensils. Camping sites with private ablutions available. Restaurant also on site. Fishing trip on the river a must. Our guide made it very pleasant.

We visited this camp again and were even more impressed. The camp is looking so good and neat and it was fully booked. It is really small , intimate and gracious. The boat trip on the mighty Zambezi was outstanding and one cannot how wide the river actually is here. Loved the shop and the staff were tremendous. This is a self catering camp with fully equiped meru tents each with bedroom, kitchen and en-suite bathroom, deck and has elecricity and a gas hob. It should not be confused with the lodge with the same name and which is downstream and fully inclusive of meals and activities. There you are taken by boat and leave your vehicle at the camp. There are grassed campsites overlooking the river and they have their own ablutions.

We were pleasantly surprised by the lovely camping area under the big trees, with beautiful view of the mighty Zambezi. Every campsite had neat own ablutions, with dish washing area, table and chairs. Manager was very helpful, because our dates were correct, but the year was faulty, so they phoned their head office and changed it to the year 2021. The sunset cruise on the Zambezi a must, Highlight of our stay! Every evening we were greeted by a most beautiful sunset!
