Enjoyed a week here in January Skiing with friends. Hotel is Very welcoming, friendly atmosphere and on a smaller personal scale. Restaurant food excellent and served by the staff with enthusiasm- the deserts were a special treat. Choice of Lounge bar or Cellar Bar always enjoyable, good access straight onto the snow and good locker room in basement

Well positioned hotel for snow sports. Staff were all friendly and helpful. Stayed half board with Crystal. Rooms good size and comfortable with excellent showers. We’ll set up for getting in from slopes. Food very good with lots of choice at the evening buffet. Good to see the chef taking such an interest in his work. Certainly no need to be hungry. Hope to return in Summer for cycling and walking.

Our radiator just didn’t get hot. I wouldn’t have minded if on mentioning it to the manager he had been pleasant and agreed the room was cold. Instead, he just told us it was fine and the whole hotel was warm. My wife was sitting in the room in several thermals as it must have been 16 or 17degrees -there was clearly a problem. Several complaints later, they finally fixed it and it was ok ish by the time we left. I should say the food was fantastic - amazing selection at breakfast and dinner as well. The location is good from being almost ski in ski out but the place was either noisy or very badly insulated or both - we didn’t sleep well at all but then the cold room wasn’t helping. I suggest the hotel retrains or replaces the manager to include some customer service.

Really disappointing stay… the hotel was really cold for the first half of the stay and was only warm after several residents complained. Our room was filthy when we checked in, with a broken plug (so we only had one that we could use) and the safe wasn’t working. The food was awful, I got food poisoning on the first day and suffered for 3 days. The buffets were like going to an English restaurant like Toby Carvery with the odd bit of Italian food chucked in. Only reason I didn’t give this hotel 1 star was the wine served at dinner and the location to the slopes.

41 of us stayed at the hotel and they were so accommodating, nothing was a problem and they really made us feel welcome. Fabulous location, amazing food, everyday the chef created personal desserts for gluten free / lactose intolerant guests, reception staff were the kindest, most helpful staff we have ever met. The staff even sectioned off a part of their pub for us to hold our awards night - Thank you to the amazing Marcello, family and team.

Our third time at this hotel and it never disappoints. The rooms are fresh, clean and spacious. All the facilities you need for a ski holiday are there - boot room, walk out onto the snow, two good bars, good service. The food deserves a special mention. The team led by Andrew for many years serves up the most amazing buffet breakfast and dinner every day. If you can’t find something you like then you are impossible to please! The only thing the hotel lacks is a spa/pool/sauna but you can hop on the mini bus and pop over to the sister hotel for that in 5 mins. If you are thinking of Sestriere, don’t hesitate, book Hotel du Col.

Previously visited several years ago and was an excellent stay with large room, Mountain View and hot varied food. On that basis attended February 2024 for a week skiing. Friendly staff with quick check in. Room allocated was small. Insufficient space for clothes had to use luggage bag on a luggage stand for the week.6 coat hangers for 2 people why so few ? No wall hooks for jackets etc. Son's bed a foot from the cupboard so I never/couldnt use that side. An adjoining door to next door meant you could hear that rooms occupants chatting etc. Street noise most nights until midnight the worst being 2 nights of the hotels karaoke until 0100hrs with every single word being heard. Obviously not an issue if you enjoy karaoke. Bins 0600hrs some days. Traffic delivers start about then as well. Room in short is poorly located and too small. Think it was Wednesday and Friday nights for the ‘singing’ On hindsight I should have asked to move ( Room 147). Food was average with warm main dishes on first 2 evening meals but worked out if attended 20 minutes later than 1930 hrs the replenishment items were hot. Plenty of ski locker space and the boot warmers worked. In short if visiting again I would ask for the mountain side room or wouldn’t attend the noise was that bad. I spoke to others who never heard a thing and we were simply unfortunate with the room allocated. Cannot fault staff who were friendly and helpful. Can ski from back door which is handy.

Best food in any resort. Been many times. Staff always very attentive and helpful. Hotel always looks great and well kept .Ski in/ski out fantastic. Snow can sometimes be better but the slopes are always well kept and always somewhere to ski. Love my stays here.
