Garden Inn Resort Sevan - Photo Gallery

Very nice resort. Only wish the swimming pool was maintained and useable, even though the time of year. And also the restaurant was not open, which was disappointing; no food just drinks at the bar. Again, I understand, time of year means less bookings and therefore it's probably not viable to pay staff for the kitchen during that period. We would have liked to have experienced it though. Another time! Otherwise, great location, friendly, unimposing staff, atmospheric lighting and trees and fallen leaves, cosy bungalow. We had stayed prior to this at the nearby Nirvana Resort, Sevan. Loved both, personally preferred Nirvana. What I would say is that Nirvana was the better lake resort, with bungalows right on the lake, especially if you get Nirvana bungalow #1 or Nirvana bungalow #2 with big bay window and modern fittings (however other bungalows are being renovated, and it's such a friendly, cute, quirky, beautiful site), and Garden Inn Resort Sevan was the better site in terms of beauty with its plentiful trees and facilities (even though not operating to full capacity when we stayed), with a short 1-minute walk from the lake shore and 'public beach'. It all started when, instead of a twin room, we were given a king-size bed. They couldn't change the beds, but they did provide an extra blanket upon request. For three days, the room wasn't cleaned once, with no indication that this was the norm. There was no bottled water in the room, but the refrigerator door was cluttered with paid drinks and snacks. Incidentally, the refrigerator was unplugged. The electric stove was giving us a slight electric shock. It's cold in the room at the end of September, but there's a fan heater (it won't warm the floor anyway). The bathroom has heated floors and an electric heated towel rail. The sink is small, though, and there's not even a place to put toothpaste or shaving gel. The grounds are poorly maintained—fallen leaves are everywhere. The pool is supposedly heated to 30 degrees (in reality, it's less). It's small, but leaves and birch seeds are constantly falling into it (which isn't very pleasant). Breakfast costs 3,000 drams separately (I don't know how good it is). There are no cafes or shops nearby. You'll either have to walk a short distance along the highway to the nearest shop with a meager selection and inflated prices, or to the foot of the monastery, where there's a market with expensive souvenirs and a few cafes and eateries. If you don't worry about this and take it for granted, it's generally comfortable.

A wonderful hotel with incredibly polite and caring staff. The location is just perfect: Sevan is very close! On the territory there is a swimming pool, playgrounds and a restaurant. The restaurant is delicious! You can buy breakfast on the spot, which I highly recommend, the breakfast is also quite decent. The apartments were clean, spacious. The only thing was that at first it was very cold in them, but we went to the reception and they turned on the heating there, then it even got hot! The territory is very cozy, in the evening they turn on the lights. There is a table in front of each house, you can bring some of your own food. The pool is clean, heated. There are clean towels for the pool on the sun loungers (you don't need to bring them from your room). In general, we really liked it, we would gladly come back again!

Ambience: Acceptable Cleanliness: Acceptable Service: Acceptable Facilities: Good Great location, right by Lake Sevan. Very good value. There's a restaurant, and the breakfast and dinner are both quite good. Perfect for a one-night stay.

Lovely spot by the lake and friendly service (by Angelina). She was very helpful and made sure we were looked after. The restaurant was lovely as well with lots or different food options. We would definitely recommend staying here!
