Grand Mercure Hotels in Shanghai

The front desk service was incredibly thoughtful. On my first day checking in, they told me I could enjoy afternoon tea at the executive lounge after 3 PM. I mentioned I might be out and about, so they arranged for some mini cakes to be packed and put in my room's fridge. The breakfast was delicious, and the Shanghai pan-fried buns were a unique highlight. When I checked out in the afternoon, they even gave me a clear umbrella to use because it was raining.

Facilities: As a long-established international hotel that has been open for many years, the facilities are exceptionally well-maintained, in good working order, and user-friendly. Cleanliness: Excellent. The cleaning staff were meticulous and organized. Environment: The location is superb, surrounded by the Gubei and Hongqiao business districts, making it extremely convenient for business travelers. The sleeping environment is quiet. The room balcony offers beautiful views; west-facing rooms overlook the western Shanghai skyline and Hongqiao Airport (as pictured). Service: Attentive yet respectful of personal space. The restaurant staff, in particular, were very polite without being overly effusive.

My trip to Lingang led me to choose the Grand Mercure Shanghai Lingang, and my stay far exceeded expectations – it definitely deserves a five-star rating! The room was spacious and bright, with an elegant and sensible layout. It was immaculately clean, and the bedding was soft and comfortable, guaranteeing a wonderfully peaceful night's sleep. The facilities were also comprehensive; the central air conditioning had precise temperature control, and the bathtub in the bathroom was a huge bonus – soaking in it after a long day was incredibly relaxing. The soundproofing was excellent too, making the room exceptionally quiet. The location is also very convenient, with the Blue Bay International Plaza downstairs, and parking was hassle-free. From the warm welcome at check-in to the thoughtful service from the housekeeping staff, I felt a genuine sincerity throughout my stay. I will definitely choose this hotel again next time I'm in Lingang, and I highly recommend it to everyone!
