It's incredibly rare to find such a peaceful spot amidst the bustling city. The lobby design instantly caught my eye – the suspended dry wood art installation paired with the mirrored water feature creates an incredible modern Chinese Zen ambiance. Every photo I took looked like it belonged in a magazine. The cozy book bar is elegant and refined, with a floor-to-ceiling bookshelf and soft mood lighting; sitting there, sipping tea and reading, was so relaxing and restorative. The room amenities were excellent. The bedding was soft and ensured a restful sleep, and the cleanliness was meticulously maintained. The toiletries were also high quality. The front desk staff were warm and attentive, check-in was efficient, and they patiently answered all my questions about getting around. This is a peaceful sanctuary in the heart of the city, and my top choice when staying near Yu Garden in Shanghai. I highly recommend this Atour hotel.

The hotel's location is super convenient, really close to the Bund, Yu Garden, and City God Temple – all within walking distance. The service is also very attentive, and the breakfast is delicious, with local specialties like Shanghai scallion oil noodles and savory tofu pudding that my kids absolutely loved.
