Shanghai Lianzheng Hotel (People's Square Subway Station)

The service was excellent, and the room was very clean. Overall, I was very satisfied; it offered great value for money.

Excellent service. Very satisfied. The staff was attentive and helpful. The room was spacious. Great location with convenient transportation, right in the city center. The room was well-equipped, comfortable, bright, and cozy.

The air conditioning didn't have heating, there were no tissues, and all the towels were tattered. The toilet occasionally gurgled and overflowed, and the drain had a foul smell coming from it. The window faced the hallway, so it was incredibly noisy, incredibly noisy. Seriously, never book this hotel again when you travel.

The hotel's location is excellent, right next to the Far Eastern Plaza Hotel, making it super convenient for travelers to get around. It offers great value for money, and the staff are very diligent and responsible. I stay at this hotel every year when I'm in Shanghai!

I guess you get what you pay for. It's not very soundproof, so it was noisy. The room's cleanliness was also just average. However, the front desk lady had a good service attitude and check-in was very quick.

Absolutely terrible. This place is an old, run-down guesthouse with shabby decor and appalling hygiene. The bathroom doesn't even have a separate wet and dry area, and the trash bag hadn't even been changed when I checked in. My booking on Trip.com clearly stated a free room upgrade was available, but when I asked the front desk twice, they claimed all king rooms were booked. I showed them that king rooms were still bookable on Trip.com, and they still insisted they'd forgotten to take it down. Trip.com's handling of the issue, however, was very quick and good. There was also a persistent foul smell in the room. I will definitely not be staying here again.

The hygiene was absolutely terrible. The bathroom had a foul odor that permeated the entire room. When I reported it to the front desk, nothing was done. Their idea of cleaning was just emptying the trash bin, but they didn't even bother to pick up the garbage next to it. The pillowcases were torn, and the bath towels were yellowed and worn out. And don't even get me started on the 'ingenious' hairdryer design – the cord was ridiculously short, and it wasn't even installed near the mirror. Plus, there was a table underneath, so to blow-dry my hair, I had to stand next to the table and crane my neck over. But the absolute worst part was that every time a subway passed by, both the toilet door and the sink would vibrate. Truly a one-of-a-kind 'experience'!
