Renaissance Shanghai Yu Garden Hotel on the Bund Reviews

Super well located, close to subway, the bund and many stores/places to eat. The staff was vwry helpfull, especially Ms Marry.

This hotel location is very strategic and staff very friendly, special thanks to frontdesk staff Yvonne to assist us to find 2 rooms in same floor as we come with friends and due to we booked 2 nights separately, she also helped us to combined it so that we do not need to change room again. She also teach us the direction how to walk to Yuyuan, thanks for the great service. There is another staff at level 1 who assisted us to order didi to go to 南京路步行街 but we forgot to ask for his name, thanks alot for your help too. You guys are awesome, keep it up!!!

Wonderful hotel very close to the beautiful and lively Yu Gardens old town and the metro. All in all a very comfortable room, good swimming pool for the kids and easy to get around. And don’t forget the wonderful city view from the bedrooom! We didn’t get breakfast with the room and went to Peet’s coffee each morning instead.

Good breakfast, great location near Yu Garden. Staff at front office is less helpful than staffs at restaurant.

Just after checking into our room we found it had a really strong smell to tobacco so we had to go to reception and we were changed to a different room. Unfortunately it was very late at night but manager was still attentive. After a few days you realize the hotel is old and most of it is smelly. They need to invest in restoring it. Restaurants are really bad despite having very kind staff. Location is convenient across the subway station but still not the most walkable area in Shanghai and 15min walk from the farthest points of The Bund. if you pay for a beautiful view be aware you can only enjoy it until 11pm. I wouldn’t repeat honestly.

We booked a big room with three beds for a group of 4. The room was really spacious, toilet was also clean and big with a bathtub and showering area. There was also a gym and swimming pool available. Subway train station is just opposite the hotel and Yu Garden is about 5 mins walk away. We really enjoyed our stay here and would definitely stay here again

Good location very near to Yuyuan Garden. Metro station is nearby. Hotel is a little dated but otherwise clean. Staff are increadibly helpful and professional. There was construction nearby during my stay and can be noisy at times. Construction activities usually goes on 24 hours. Nontheless, it is highly recommended.

Best location and breakfast is good. Also specially thanks to Yvonne that she has arranged three rooms in same floor so that we could support elderly conveniently and recommend us to try hotel breakfast there. Thank you

Great view from the room , thx ethan for upgrading our room since its my baby girl bday , shes so excited … and hes so helpful since the beginning till we check out , the room is kinda old , but the view is great … and the employees are great since the day we arrived … thx all

The hotel staff are fantastic and helpful. The original booking came with breakfast for 2 pax only, and the manager was so kind to offer us to pay for 1 kid breakfast price for my 2 children 9 & 12 years.

The room is clean. Good location near Yu yuan Garden. Metro line 14 is opposite the hotel.
