Great location, lovely environment. The hotel's unique essential oils smell wonderful, and the service is very thoughtful.

This resort is the absolute best! Angel escorted us to our room when we checked in and even gave the kids bath toys, which they loved. Cynthia was incredibly warm and helpful, assisting us with a speedy check-out and asking about our stay. The baby absolutely adored the pool! We'll definitely be back to try other room types next time. The Bund's 'Three-Piece Set' view is absolutely stunning, such a wonderful surprise. The hotel is very quiet. I've already recommended it to several friends, and even my local Shanghai friends are planning to go experience it – it's that amazing. Choosing this high-end hotel when traveling with kids was definitely the right decision. Mini bar: A pleasant surprise!

Staying at the Banyan Tree Shanghai on the Bund was an absolutely perfect experience! The hotel's location is superb, offering breathtaking views of the Bund right from your window. The rooms are elegantly decorated and fully equipped, with thoughtful touches everywhere. From the warm and attentive doorman to the professional and meticulous butler team, especially Lily, every staff member made us feel incredibly comfortable. With top-notch facilities and exceptionally warm service, this is definitely the best hotel choice for a trip to Shanghai!

For Christmas Eve, I ritualistically booked a riverside hotel, and it was my first stay at the Banyan Tree Shanghai. I had always seen pictures online and imagined the Banyan Tree as an extremely high-end hotel. However, upon arrival, I was surprised by how small the Banyan Tree Shanghai was. The staff had us sit on sofas, waiting in line without offering any drinks or calling us. I had to proactively approach the check-in staff when I saw someone free. Meanwhile, there were other guests on the sofas who also thought they were queuing. The check-in assistant was very friendly and, knowing I wanted a room with a better view, offered me two options. However, the one with the better view would take another hour to clean, so we decisively chose the other. The room itself looked comfortable, and the circular bathtub was great for a soak. The Banyan Tree bath salts and lotion smelled wonderful, exactly to my liking. But the shampoo and conditioner were quite ordinary; not only were they hard to squeeze out, but my hair was incredibly static after washing. The showerhead in the bathroom was also a bit odd; the handheld shower had very strong water pressure, but the overhead shower had much weaker pressure, making it difficult to wash long hair. Dinner that evening at Tales on the top floor was also a mixed bag. The indoor seating was very cramped, my husband even joked it felt like a senior activity center. The food flavor was decent, with a Southeast Asian touch that I enjoyed. The resident singer, I don't know if she was just recovering from a cold, but her performance was... Let's just say that night's Tales certainly didn't deserve to be ranked as the 'number one bar on the North Bund's best list'. Breakfast was also quite average; ordering was prone to errors, though the service was good. After check-out, a staff member called to ask for feedback. I brought up the issues with the Tales bar, but this staff member didn't seem particularly patient or interested in hearing more from me and quickly hung up, which also left a bad impression. All in all, I definitely won't be staying there a second time!

Our room faced the Oriental Pearl Tower directly, which made for amazing photos! The rooftop bar has been redecorated and the views are absolutely stunning. All the staff were very enthusiastic, and Cynthia provided excellent service, even preparing a small Christmas gift for us.
