The surrounding area is very convenient for shopping, with Raffles City North Bund just across the street. The breakfast is good, and the view from the Sky Palace on the top floor is beautiful. There were only two bottles of water in the room, and a note indicated an additional charge of 2 yuan for each extra bottle. This practice feels a bit odd, as even smaller hotels usually provide an ample supply of bottled water.

Booked this hotel last minute for the May Day holiday, mainly because of the price. For just over 800 yuan, it included three breakfasts, and the location was great. I'd heard of this hotel a long time ago; it's a star-rated hotel from the reform and opening-up era, so I figured it might be a bit old now. Going in with low expectations definitely paid off! The transportation is convenient, and the surroundings are pleasant. Stepping into the lobby, you get that classic, old-school star hotel vibe, and it's very well-maintained. I was incredibly lucky to get a room with a view, and even better, one overlooking the Oriental Pearl Tower! I slept wonderfully, and breakfast was abundant. That's why I'm giving it a full five-star rating! You can tell from the photos how valuable this room was. I suspect this used to be an executive suite, it's large and luxurious, even with an entryway. In short, what could be better than lying on the sofa and enjoying the night view of the Oriental Pearl Tower (until its lights went out)? Great value for money! I'll definitely be back!

This hotel, part of the COSCO Group, is a well-established property. The interior decor has a vintage feel, a bit dated but generally well-maintained and clean. All the facilities are in working order, and the air conditioning is powerful. **Pros:** The location is a big plus. While the river view is mostly obstructed (you can barely catch a glimpse of the 'four-piece suit' through the gaps), there's a Raffles City mall nearby. It's also not far from Tilanqiao subway station. A short bike ride gets you to the North Bund, and taking a bus makes it easy to reach The Bund, Waibaidu Bridge, and Suzhou Creek. The rotating restaurant on the top floor offers fantastic views, highly recommended if you're looking for a good meal there. **Cons:** It's a bit odd that they charge for water if you request more than two bottles. There's no self-service laundry, and parking spaces are quite limited.

The hotel was great! The room was clean and so spacious. We had such a lovely view from our room window. Great location, walking distance to the North Bund. Breakfast was delicious with a good spread. So well worth it. My friends and I had a great stay.

My child wanted to see Fair Road Wharf, so I booked a room for May Day. They upgraded our room type, which made our stay even more spacious, and the view from the window was also great. You can tell it's an established hotel; the service is very professional. The swimming pool is 1.5 meters deep throughout, so it's not very suitable for children who can't swim.

The room was spotless and tidy, and the bed was just right – not too soft, not too hard – ensuring a great night's sleep. The surrounding amenities are excellent, making it very convenient for getting around. The staff were warm and patient, and the facilities were well-maintained, clean, and reassuring. Overall, I had a very satisfying stay.

Two adults and one child stayed here. The service was absolutely excellent! They even upgraded our room for free during check-in and provided adorable slippers for my child. On top of that, they gave my child a gift at check-out. The hotel's location is super convenient, close to bus stops and the ferry terminal, making it easy to get to the Oriental Pearl Tower, Lujiazui, and the Bund. There are also plenty of dining options nearby.

This is an older hotel in Shanghai with excellent service and a great breakfast. We were upgraded directly to a business family room, and the location and views are both fantastic. Highly recommended!

It offers great value for money, is very close to the subway station, has a shopping mall nearby, and is close to the North Bund. Service: The hotel service was truly excellent. Staff were very polite and responsive to every need. Hotel employees actively greeted guests. It was raining when we arrived, and the room was equipped with umbrellas, showing great attention to detail. The front desk lady even proactively upgraded us to a suite. The room was spacious enough, and the breakfast was very rich – the mini wontons were particularly delicious! It was a very pleasant experience. Next time I come to Shanghai, I'll definitely stay at this hotel again!

Hotel is comfortable and service is good! Met all our needs with a 2yo kid. Located nearby Raffles City mall which has lots of food and others shopping. Mall is also connected to metro so easy to travel Great place to visit the area opposite the bund where its less crowded.

I've stayed at this hotel countless times. The price is budget-friendly, and the location is fantastic, making it super convenient to get around. There's a Raffles City mall nearby, and just a bit further is Magnolia Plaza. It's also very close to the North Bund, and the night view along the Huangpu River is absolutely stunning.

The location is very close to Raffles city and few walking to the north bund river view. It’s beautiful and more quiet. Room is big enough for the 3 of us, it is clean and the hotel has good varieties of food every morning. Staff are friendly.
