Sushi Select Hotel (Fuzhou Road, Shanghai People's Square)

The best thing of this hotel is its perfect location. It is only 10 minutes walking distance to East Nanjing Road Pedestrian Street. But it was very hard to find the hotel on Google Maps or Amap (the most common chinese navigation app). There is no label or sign of the hotel at the front door. The receptionists don't speak English. The corridors are so dirty. There were stains on the walls of the room. Even the room itself is dusty, it seems nobody cleaned it. The bathroom has been renewed lately. It is better than the room itself. But the bed is one of the biggest I have ever slept on especially the pillows are so comfortable. There are two memory foam pillows. The room is cleaned (I mean somebody tidied the bed and put two new water bottles at least). There is a boiler in the room. On the first day when I checked in there was no toilet paper in the room. They put a new one on the second day. No breakfast option at the hotel. You can reach metro stations on foot easily.

Hotel reception staffs are helpful and friendly. Hotel is quite old but room is clean. Location is good, got lots of good food nearby.

There are many food stalls nearby. The building and the room I stayed in are vintage, but enough for sleeping.

The location is ideal, located near Nanjing Road, Bai Mi Xiang Xie. Around the hotel itself has many local food stalls and restaurants. The room is ok with basic amenities and quite spacious (I have opened 4 baggages and still have room to walk around. The reêcptionist helped me many times to reêcive my taobao oorder! The only thing is that the room is located in like a 2.5 floor so I have to take elevator then go downstair a bit. Some of the hall’s ceiling was quite old that I can see through the ceilling lol. The toilet door was a bit musty and not very soundproofx. That’s all!
