Shupai Garden Villa (Dongping Forest Park Shop)

Traveling to Chongming with elderly parents and children, the four-bedroom villa was an awful experience! AVOID AT ALL COSTS! I had high hopes for a family vacation in Chongming with my parents and kids, so I deliberately chose a four-bedroom villa over a B&B, looking for cleanliness and comfort. Turns out, it was a complete disaster, and the experience was utterly terrible! First, the check-in process was irregular and posed a safety risk. They didn't require any ID registration, which not only violates the mandatory regulations of the 'Public Security Administration Measures for Hotels' but also left us completely unaware of who else might be staying there. With elderly parents and young children, it made us feel incredibly uneasy. Next, the hygiene was disgusting. The overall cleanliness of the room was subpar. The most outrageous part was the kettle – as soon as I opened it, a pungent, foul odor emanated, like a mix of long-uncleaned mold and limescale. There was no way I'd dare boil water for my parents or children with it. Luckily, I brought my own portable kettle as a backup, which completely defeated the purpose of staying in a villa for peace of mind. Finally, the facility malfunctions severely impacted our stay. Out of four rooms, two air conditioners couldn't provide heat! The night temperatures in Chongming are quite low, and with elderly parents and children having weaker immune systems, they had to endure a cold night in those rooms. We contacted the butler for a heater, but it was very noisy, and considering safety, we didn't dare leave it on overnight. Keeping warm was a struggle, let alone getting a good night's sleep. What was even more frustrating was the toilet flush issue; it took five flushes just to get rid of a single use, and by check-out time, I just gave up trying. We paid for a villa but received service worse than an economy hotel. The hygiene was substandard, and the infrastructure was practically non-existent. It's completely unsuitable for family travel, especially unfriendly to elderly people and children. I genuinely advise everyone to steer clear and not be misled by promotional pictures, which will only ruin your travel mood!

The room is spacious, clean, large and well-equipped. It is a good place for a family to stay in a villa. You can sing karaoke and play mahjong. Both the elderly and children like it very much. High cost performance.

It has its own door and yard, and the environment is beautiful. The air is especially fresh after the rain. It is very suitable for a small gathering with friends on weekends. The check-in experience is good, and the housekeeper's one-stop service is very considerate. Before arriving, the housekeeper specially waited at the gate to greet you, which was very cordial. I will continue to consider it for the next gathering!

The environment is very good, the sanitation is very clean, and the kitchen is fully equipped. Both bedrooms have bathrooms, which is very convenient. The breakfast on the second day was very rich and healthy. Because we got up late, the boss was very nice and sent us breakfast at 11 o'clock. Because we got up late, our check-out was delayed, but the boss was very nice and didn't say anything. I will choose this hotel again next time if I have the chance. I recommend it to everyone. It's really good.

We booked a villa on the 29th for 8 people in 4 double-bed rooms🏠. There is everything in the room, tea making, automatic mahjong machine, games and sports, karaoke, and the kitchen is fully equipped with pots and pans. The housekeeper service there is also very good. When the large barrel of water in our room ran out, we contacted them at any time and it was delivered at any time. We also gave us three large barrels of water for free. If there is a chance, we will invite friends to stay for a few days together (っ＾▿＾)っ🥤

The room is very nice, except for the small bathroom which is a bit shabby, everything else is good. The best thing is the service, the housekeeper is always on call to solve the problem 👍 The whole community is also very well secured and relatively quiet.
