Hyatt Regency Chongming

Location and Environment: The hotel is situated in a quiet area, close to Dongtan Wetland Park, offering a serene escape from the city. The surrounding greenery is lush, providing a refreshing natural atmosphere, perfect for relaxation and outdoor activities.(based on 343 reviews)

Overall, it was fine. What we enjoyed: breakfast was good, big variety of food. A nice playground for kids outside. Big grass lawn near the hotel to play frisbee or badminton (we brought it with us). The room is spacious, enough for 2 adults and a child. There is a bath tub and a shower cabin with all amenities.  What we didn’t like: the room was not cleaned properly. The floor especially, the dust and long hair of previous guests were all there. Room amenities are quite old and do not correspond with the hotel status. For example: hair drier is old and slow, scales don’t work at all, the swing strings on the balcony are torn off.  During breakfast, we had to find a baby chair in the hall ourselves. The waiter was smiling friendly, but stood there and only watched how there is no free space on our table because of the empty plates. These are very simple (but important) things the staff has to be taught to make sure the guests are satisfied with the service.  And by the way, prepare what you are going to eat in advance. There are limited options, especially if you are traveling with children.

It's a legit pet-friendly hotel. Our Dog 🐶 have a wonder full experience and the swimming pool it's clean and the water is clear and properly maintain. We will definitely going back to Hyatt Renessance Chongming. Maybe next time make the breakfast a little more western like added some cheese
