Hotels in Qiantan, Shanghai

For a family birthday celebration, we chose the Shangri-La Qiantan this time, and it certainly didn't disappoint. Before our arrival, they called to confirm our estimated check-in time and even helped decorate the room, which was a really thoughtful touch. The room itself was great, aside from the slight issue with soundproofing. The facilities were excellent, with a bidet, wireless charging, and even a filtered water tap. darwin The 25-meter swimming pool was a particular highlight – it wasn't crowded, and the water quality was superb, making for a very comfortable swim. Breakfast was also good, though finishing at 10:30 AM on weekends felt a bit early; I'd suggest extending it to 11 AM, especially since it's the weekend. The afternoon tea at the lobby lounge was also fantastic and offered great value for money. Overall, everything was excellent. We'll definitely consider staying here again if we have the chance, and I highly recommend it to others!

The room was quite spacious for Shanghai, and it had all sorts of amenities. The front desk lady was incredibly warm and even prepared toiletries for the kids, which was a very thoughtful touch. The breakfast was plentiful with many options, and my family was very satisfied. The hotel is conveniently located near the museum and TV tower, about a 20-minute drive. The hotel environment is elegant, and there's a cute cat that the kids absolutely adored!

I chose this hotel because I wanted to explore Qiantan Taikoo Li thoroughly, and it's conveniently located nearby. Parking is free in the underground garage, and it's just a 5-minute walk from the hotel to Taikoo Li, so the location is excellent. Taikoo Li also has several subway lines, making public transportation very accessible. Across from the hotel is NYU Shanghai. The hotel itself has a stylish and minimalist design, and you can check in using the self-service kiosks at the front desk. The room is spacious enough, and the soundproofing is very good. I'll definitely choose this hotel again next time I'm shopping in Qiantan.

The hotel's location right next to the stadium was incredibly convenient for attending the concert. There are also plenty of dining options right downstairs and nearby. The front desk kindly upgraded my room, which was spotlessly clean and very comfortable. I particularly liked the excellent toiletries – the shampoo had a wonderful fragrance, and I appreciated that the body lotion came sealed. I'll definitely choose to stay here again for my next concert.

I chose the 'Landscape Modern Room,' but the actual view was like what you see in photos 5-6. I had to walk right up to the window to catch a glimpse of the river. So, honestly, aside from the suites, there's not much difference between the room types, yet this one was significantly more expensive. During the 5-6 pm 'Social Hour,' there was a female server with an incredibly bad attitude. I arrived at 4:50 pm, planning to grab a drink before heading out. I saw the drinks and everything already set up, so I politely asked if I could get something. She coldly informed me, 'Sorry, we start precisely at 5.' I questioned her, asking if they couldn't be flexible for just ten minutes. She snapped back, with an angry and strange tone, 'But I'm still preparing!' It was truly baffling; the cups and drinks were already out. What difference does it make if I grab one now versus later? A major turn-off. Upon returning to the hotel around 7:30 pm, I was surprised to hear intermittent drilling sounds coming from my room. I reported it to the front desk, and they sent someone to check, but initially, nothing was resolved. At my insistence, they moved me to a different room. The manager's arrangement was pretty good; they moved us to a suite far from the renovation noise, which you can see in photos 1-3. Overall, the hotel's location is fantastic; right in front of Qian Tan Park, and we even caught the Jazz Music Festival. However, the hotel's robotic, impersonal service, lacking any warmth, was a real letdown.

The hotel has a fantastic location — very convenient and close to the Shanghai Oriental Sports Indoor Stadium, which was perfect for us as we attended the XIN Liu XANADU concert there. The front desk staff were incredibly friendly and helpful; no matter what we asked, they assisted us promptly and with a smile. The room was clean and comfortable, and even the housekeeping staff were very kind and welcoming. Overall, a great stay and I would definitely recommend it to anyone visiting Shanghai, especially if you’re attending an event at the stadium nearby!

As someone who frequently stays in five-star hotels, this one truly exceeded my expectations. The ambiance was excellent and it was spotlessly clean; I was pleasantly surprised by the incredible value for money. The service was outstanding. From the front desk to the concierge, they proactively offered water to guests during check-in, which is a thoughtful touch I rarely experience even in other five-star hotels. I stayed for two consecutive days, and the front desk staff were consistently able to promptly meet my requests; even food deliveries were efficiently brought to my room, making everything incredibly convenient. A complimentary fruit platter was provided upon check-in, which was perfect for me as I wasn't feeling well. On my second day, when I extended my stay, I decided to sign up for their Huazhu Club membership, so I can stay at their group hotels more often in the future. The service truly is excellent.

The hotel is located in a slightly run-down part of the city, but it is still well-maintained and centrally located (depending on what you are looking for). There is a KFC directly below the hotel and a few convenience stores, restaurants and fruiteries nearby. It is a convenient walk from the metro. Our room was a reasonable size, clean and smoke-free.

A nice hotel relatively close to Shanghai Disneyland as it's located on the line metro that terminates at Disneyland, and it's easy to get to by public transport from the Airport. It's a bit of a walk to the metro station, but you won't go hungry during it; there's a shopping mall next to the metro station, and there are several restaurants and a Starbucks next to the hotel. Other shops include a bakery, a KFC and a few noodle restaurants. The hotel is situated at the side of a larger building and the name on the front is ”Ji hotel” and not the english name on trip (All Seasons Hotel), but you'll recognise it right away from the photo's. The google map location on trip is correct. The rooms look just like the photos and it's nice and quiet during the evening, excellent for a good nights sleep. Checking was smooth, even though the staff didn't speak english, translator apps were used, but I didn't have any trouble understanding them. I had a lovely stay and if you're looking for an affordable place to stay reasonably close to Disneyland, I'd recommend it!

The room was clean and a good size. However, we arrived after 9 PM and it still wasn't cleaned. We waited for half an hour, and they didn't ask us to wait, nor did they tell us how long we'd have to wait. I think the service was lacking. They should have at least informed us of the waiting time, and if it took longer, they could have let us sit down and wait. A cup of hot water would have been helpful.
