The mattress was really comfortable, and the service was up to standard. The pool was beautiful. My only minor complaint is that I'm not sure if it's just the basic room type, but there wasn't a high-speed hairdryer; the old-fashioned kind is really damaging to hair. I actually saw high-speed hairdryers in the fitness center changing rooms, so I specifically showered there after my swim, haha. Everything else was great, and it's super convenient that you can walk to Shanghai Tower.

My recent trip to Shanghai was made absolutely unforgettable by my stay at the Regent Shanghai Pudong! As an IHG luxury brand hotel, it perfectly embodies the concept of 'a new view at every turn.' From my room's balcony, the dazzling lights of Lujiazui's skyscrapers and the historic Bund architecture across the Huangpu River created a breathtaking panorama. Every photo I took looked like it belonged in a magazine. ✨ Killer Location The hotel is situated at 60 Huangpu Road, just a stone's throw from the famous Waibaidu Bridge and a 5-minute walk to the Bund Observation Deck. For citywalk enthusiasts, this is the ultimate starting point: Lujiazui's iconic 'three-piece suit' to the east, Nanjing Road Pedestrian Street to the west, and the International Cruise Terminal Station on Metro Line 12 also nearby. 🛏️ Immersive Experience I was immediately impressed by the meticulous butler service upon check-in – welcome fruits and red wine were already set, and the turndown service even thoughtfully adjusted the room lighting. As a Ctrip Black Diamond member, I even unlocked a hidden breakfast menu! I highly recommend trying the freshly made Lobster Eggs Benedict; it's even better with the river view. The room wasn't exceptionally large, but the layout was exquisite, and the bedding was incredibly comfortable – I slept like a baby. 📸 Photo Guide • Balcony Night View: After Lujiazui lights up around 7 PM, use your phone's pro mode to lower exposure for a stunning, well-lit shot. • Spiral Staircase: The black and white marble spiral staircase in the lobby has a retro luxury vibe reminiscent of 'The Great Gatsby.' • Pool Reflection: In the morning when it's less crowded, the infinity pool offers a perfect mirrored reflection of the Oriental Pearl Tower. 💡 Practical Tips 1. For river view rooms, choose a higher floor (10th floor and above recommended) for a more expansive view. 2. The mini-bar is free! Make sure to raid it for imported sparkling water and local specialty snacks. 3. Head to the Bund after 10 PM to avoid crowds and catch the building lights-out ceremony. 4. The hotel offers guided tours of the historic buildings at Yuanmingyuan Road (reservations required). This stay completely redefined my understanding of 'scenic hotels' – you really can lie in bed and witness Shanghai's century-old grandeur. From the thoughtful, detailed service to the breathtaking views you can't tear your eyes from, every detail screams: This truly is the 'heart of the Magic City'! #ShanghaiHotel #BundRiverView #IHG #HotSpot #LuxuryTravel
