After completing the Tiger LG upper hike, the owner picked us up from Tina's GH. The hotel is actually within walking distance from Tina's. Across the hotel, there is an alternative beautiful, yet rarely used trail which leads to the middle gorge, scenic area. The trail is well shaded and pleasant. As a guest of the hotel, CNY15 is waived for the first part hike and one only pays CNY15 for the 2nd part hike to the middle gorge. A person stationed at the beginning of the 2nd part hike collects the payment. Unknown to many, one can backtrace the hike up from the middle gorge. This trail is definitely easier on the knees and less strenuous as compared to the metal ladder or the alternative ladder's side trails. In a nutshell, start and end the hike to the middle gorge by this hotel. The owner's wife is a skilfull cook. This is a family run hotel, they provided us with much care and help.
