A magnificent hotel with a spectacular mountain view!
I arrived at the wrong address in Didi from Shangri-La, but the host immediately came to pick me up by car. She was warm, attentive, and truly caring throughout my stay. A flawless experience; I absolutely recommend it!

The view is everything. The drive up though, was a bit scary, but really so worth it. The room is a bit small, don’t really have much space but for one night it was good enough for us. Try to get there before sunset as you will have the view. We missed it as did not think the drive to the guesthouse from tea horse guesthouse would be that long. In the morning, it’s also very beautiful.

One of the highlights of our trek to the tiger leaping gorge was this stay right here!! It’s not exactly on the main path but once you see the sign to the halfway house you can contact them on WeChat for them to pick you up. The view was absolutely perfect and it’s a smart home with good facilities. The shower was the hottest of all our stays in Yunnan. It was perfect!

I had a fantastic stay at Half Day and not thing to complain. My room had a stunning view with cieling to floor windows. The location, to me, is just right, away from the crowds and other establishments (around Half Day). They do have a nearby restaurant but we decided to walk to Half Day for coffee and food anyway (beautiful shortcut into the forest).
My 1 night stay was very peaceful and the lady owner was super helpful even though we could not speak Chinese. She tried to explain everything via translation option in Wechat. You can also buy drinks and snacks and instant noodles ar the guesthouse.
We did not hike there but took a taxi from Lijiang direct to the hotel. It is quite convenient for those who decide not to hike. We still went hiking from the guesthouse to Tina's (5 km). If you don't want to hike back (same route), you can take a taxi back to hotel (arranged by Tina's or Half Day) at 100-120 RMB.
Highly recommend for those who want to avoid the crowds.

Room was nice and comfortable with great views from the balcony. Good for enjoying a guiet rest after hiking. Watching the mountain turned golden during the sunset from the hotel’s deck was magnificent.

We had a great overnight stay at the Half Day where booked the deluxe room with queen size bed. We arrived here after a long hiking day and while the views during the hike were eye-catching entering the hotelroom with the view at the Yulong mountains were fantastic, not to mention waking up to the view without having to get up from bed. The hotel also has a restaurant with simple but great food which we recommend to make use of since this the hotel is located higher than large parts of the village. Next time we hike the tiger leaping gorge, we will stay here for again.

The room was clean and there’s even a projector to watch shows! Views were amazing and surreal! We hiked from 28 bends to here so the flights of stairs to the hotel was not cool at all 😂
