Shangri-La LAN YU plateau section hotel（DUKEZONG Old Town）

The hotel is very close to the North Gate of Dukezong Ancient City, yet it's surprisingly quiet despite being in a bustling area. The front desk staff, both the ladies and gentlemen, were incredibly warm and attentive. They offered to help with luggage, and when they found out one of us had a bit of altitude sickness, they quickly arranged for oxygen. They even thoughtfully brought us a goodnight sweet soup and gave us a complimentary room upgrade! The room facilities are quite smart and fully equipped. Highly recommend!

The staff were friendly and the service was good. However, they use a home oxygen concentrator, not a diffused oxygen supply system. Those who need oxygen, especially the elderly or people with underlying health conditions, should consider this carefully before booking.

The butler service was excellent and very attentive. The room facilities were complete, including a humidifier, oxygen machine, and floor heating, among other things. Breakfast was rich and nutritious, and they even offered a sweet soup at night. So many thoughtful details! It's super convenient to get around, very close to the old town, and there are many restaurants nearby. I'd definitely come back again if I have the chance!

This guesthouse is really great! The service is attentive and thorough. They offer coffee, fruit, and sweet soup. The room itself is tastefully decorated. Its location right inside the ancient town is super convenient; there are restaurants and electric scooter rentals nearby, making it easy to get around.

Service: Excellent, everything from check-in to breakfast was great, thumbs up! Location: It's conveniently located by the road. However, when I asked for a shuttle, they said their car was broken and told me to take a taxi, which they would reimburse. Walking there meant no reimbursement, though, lol. Cleanliness: Very good. Facilities: Hmm, my room was on the first floor, and it felt like an annex. The butler said it was the only room left and couldn't be upgraded upon arrival. It was genuinely hard to sleep. There were two windows; one faced the public area's elevator hallway, and the other was at the back of the room. Opening the windows was very noisy, but keeping them closed made the room stuffy. I even turned off the underfloor heating before bed, but in the morning, I could still hear the kitchen's range hood or some other machine whirring loudly. The shower was also very buggy; perhaps previous guests didn't use it or didn't provide feedback. The spray was very dispersed, and even standing outside the shower door, you'd get hit by the initial cold water. The hot water did come quickly, though.

The owner is really nice, and several of the housekeepers were super enthusiastic. They helped us coordinate our room when we arrived and recommended some great places to visit nearby. The breakfast and coffee at the hotel were excellent too. Next time I'm in Shangri-La, I'll definitely stay here again!

I highly recommend the Shangri-La Lanyu Hotel! My overall stay was incredibly warm and cozy, totally exceeding my expectations! The hotel staff are all enthusiastic and thoughtful young people, providing meticulous and attentive service with excellent attitudes. The room was spotlessly clean, tidy, and comfortable. The in-room floor heating was such a thoughtful touch; it kept the high-altitude nights from being cold at all, making it warm and pleasant. Considering the dry high-altitude climate and altitude sickness, the room was specially equipped with a humidifier and oxygen concentrator, so you can always use oxygen to relieve discomfort – the attention to detail is so humane! The location is very convenient for transportation, making sightseeing hassle-free. Every time we went out, the front desk staff patiently and thoroughly explained sightseeing routes and precautions for high-altitude travel, which was very reliable. After checking in, they also thoughtfully sent a detailed PPT with attraction introductions, making the travel guide clear at a glance and saving us the trouble of planning our own itinerary. The entire stay felt warm and secure, offering excellent value for money. This is my top choice for a trip to Shangri-La, and I'll definitely stay here again next time!
