Located just outside the gate to the old city of Shangri-La (3 mins walk). Down the street 3 shops have rental for bike, so easy to rent and return. Hotel is very homey, clean and facilities are very well taken care. Wifi is fantastic, we had a huge huge smart TV, smart toilet with heated seating and auto flush etc (like the ones in Japan), room is huge and spacious and most important clean. Bed is wonderful to give you a good night of sleep (King Size). Host is wonderful and always kept the room clean, replenish room slippers and other items like toiletries on a daily basis (love this). Room has heated floor so you get a cozy space during the winter nights. The view from the room is fantastic!!! Overall very very recommended compared to accomodations inside the old city. Give this place a try. We had no regrets but loved our 5 days stay here.

As soon as I entered the inn, I felt very warm. The boss was very kind. The room was clean and tidy. It was not noisy. I will stay there next time. I highly recommend it.

The guesthouse is just so-so, no comment on the environment. The owner will talk to you when you check in, but ignores you when you leave. You have to be careful with the hairdryer in the room, it's easy to get your hair tangled. The smart toilet is worse than the non-smart one, it sprays randomly as soon as you sit down and sprays again when you get up, it's really terrible!

It's incredibly noisy. After checking in in the afternoon, the conversations outside never stopped. I could hear all sorts of noises from upstairs or somewhere else, even the sound of people walking down the stairs – it's outrageous! They didn't have a hairdryer at first, but I had to ask the owner for one. The soundproofing is practically nonexistent…
