Excellent environment of the accommodation. Great service and choices for breakfast. Location is perfect, near the Ancient Town. Staff are kind, warm and thoughtful. Love that they provide ******* clothes for customers experiences. Great value too. Highly recommend it to the others.

Ohhhh!!!!! This place is absolutely fantastic!! Everyone is so absolutely friendly, the great thing about it is it is half ancient *******, paired together with ultra high-tech. They really are so amazing. Stay here!!!!!

The male staff provided great service, though he didn't smile much—probably because he was working so hard. He was very kind and brought me some dried meat and pink sugar-coated snacks, which were delicious! There was also some milk that tasted like butter, which was a bit of a unique experience. 😂 Beyond that, he recommended an excellent Yak Hotpot restaurant that featured live singing performances; it was a lot of fun (I suspect it might be his friend's place! 😆). On my last day, he even helped me warm up my food in the early morning and gave me a free ride to the railway station. I am truly impressed with the hospitality here.

The hotel is nicely decorated in ******* style, the beds are comfortable and the floor heating works very well. The humidifier in the room was very helpful, since we were suffering from the dryness in the air. The oxygen generator was also useful since one of us had trouble adjusting to the Shanri-La altitude. The hotel location is good, close to the old town. Nobody speaks English in the hotel, but using the translator app and WeChat in our mobiles we could communicate. It was a nice touch to include with the room the transfer to train station. About the ******* Clothing experience that was included also with the room, it was a bit disappointing when we asked for it because we were told that we choose the pieces of clothing and wear them. When we asked how the ladies’ traditional costume was combined and put on, the guy in reception told us that he didn’t know since he was not *******. We expected that if the hotel offered this “******* Clothing Experience” as part of the booking, some more help would be offered. Finally, he helped us to wear the clothes and told us that make-up was not included. So we went to the traditional clothing rental business in front of the hotel and had them do our makeup for a reasonable fee. The lady even lent us some accessories for free and helped us adjust properly the clothing. Overall, we really enjoyed wearing these traditional clothes lent by the hotel, and the pictures we took are wonderful. Other than that the service was very attentive, always taking care of our needs, not only by the guy in reception but also the lady taking care of the breakfast. The breakfast was traditional Chinese, with no coffee option, but it was tasty. We bought instant coffee in a convenience store and they provided hot water to prepare it. We had a really enjoyable stay at Shangri-La and this hotel, we would recommend it to anyone interested in visiting Shangri-La.

One of the best parts of our trip to Shangri La. All of the staff were so lovely and helpful! They really made us feel at home right away! Humidifier and oxygen was provided, and room was very nicely heated - we never felt cold. Delicious breakfast too. Highly recommend. Thank you very much!Will be back!
