Seriously, I can't recommend Songtsam Linka Retreat enough! As soon as I opened the door, I was captivated by the stunning lake view outside – snow-capped mountains reflecting in the water. Waking up in the morning to mist floating on the lake felt like stepping into a fairyland. The Tibetan-style room was toasty warm, and the oxygen supply meant I had no issues with altitude sickness at all. The butler was incredibly attentive, greeting us with highland barley wine and a Hada scarf. Whatever we needed, they were there in a flash. The breakfast, with its yak yogurt and freshly baked bread, was absolutely delicious, and enjoying it while gazing at the scenery just filled me with happiness. The infinity pool in the common area is fantastic for photos, and in the evening, sitting on the balcony, feeling the breeze, and listening to the distant prayer flags, just brought a complete sense of peace.

Top notch service! I can understand now why they are so popular. I stayed here for 4 nights and in 3 different room types as I had trouble booking all the same room as they are so popular. This is probably the best one I have stayed in my Yunnan trip so far as the owners were so helpful and friendly. They are always there to support and you can ask any questions if needed so you do not fall into any tourist trap. They are very genuine. The rooms are clean and comfortable. They really make you feel so at home. Very down to earth owners. Great accommodation and great service. Highly recommended! They also got us a good spot for the very popular Tusiyan at discounted price and transport there and back. They really go all out to serve you and ensure you have a great experience. Location of the hotel is also great and the cars can stop right in front. There's really nothing to fault. You will not go wrong booking with them!

I highly recommend this hotel for the location near to Dukezong Ancient City (approximately 3 minutes walk) and the excellent amenities and services rendered by the hotel owners themselves. They provided us with free pick-up and drop-off from train station. The lady boss was always ready to advise and answer any queries in person or via wechat. There are oxygen machine and humidifier provided which really helped us to feel comfortable with the high altitude weather. The lady boss went extra length to prepare a simple non-meat breakfast since we are muslim travellers. Overall, we experienced a wonderful and enjoyable stay in this hotel. We will definitely come back to this hotel.
