Just had a great 3 night stay on the Isle of Wight at the Richmond bnb in Shanklin. Very clean tidy and spacious. Breakfast ranged from full english to continental, in fact all good. Mark and Cass were very welcoming and helpful, and have got the hospitality balance just right. Close to the main street for amenities and a brief walk to the historic Old Village with plenty of quaint pubs/places to eat. The sea front is also a short pleasant walk, just around the corner, with more attractions. Enjoyed our stay on the Island and found all the people we interacted with very friendly and relaxed. Would definitely go back and stay at the Richmond.

From the moment we arrived, Mark and Caz were both very welcoming and couldn't do more to settle us in. We had traveled over for a wedding and the hosts were very accommodating in giving us extra time to get ready before coming in to clean our room. We had a fantastic Breakfast freshly made on our arrival to the dining room with plenty of choice. The room was clean, spacious and had everything we needed. Beds are very comfortable and situated in a nice quiet area. Mark was also very helpful in assisting us to secure a ferry. The Richmond also benefits from off street parking which is great in Shanklin, as we would have had to park several streets away. Thank you to Mark and Caz again for a lovely stay and if/when we return to IOW we will certainly be booking in again. We had a lovely long weekend at a fantastic wedding and accompanied with our stay here made it a beautiful memorable weekend for us both, Ben & Teresa

Beautiful period property with a contemporary interior owned and managed by the most welcoming and helpful hosts Mark and Kaz. The room had the most comfortable bed and was spotlessly clean on arrival, it was cleaned every day once we had left after breakfast. The choice of food for breakfast caters for everyone, all guests were very happy with the food they ordered. Off street parking at Richmond B&B was a bonus given its location in the centre of Shanklin. It’s only a 9 minute walk to the Island Line Station. Buses run a regular service to various destinations on the island. The hosts have a very high standard of service in all depar**ents and are extremely helpful. We would highly recommend this B&B for a very comfortable stay.

Highly recommend staying here, Mark and Caz are amazing host so friendly and welcoming and nothing is to much trouble for them both. Our room was spotless and so comfy, good facilities in the room too, nice and quite. Breakfast was amazing and a great choice to choose from. Situated in a great location only a short walk to the beach. Most definitely will be booking again soon. Thank you for making our stay a great one.

We stayed at the Richmond Bed and Breakfast for the first week of July... Hadnt been to the Isle Of Wight for a long time, were a little apprehensive as we had booked there last room classed as a small room.. We were met by Mike on our arrival and were welcomed in with a few tips etc... The room was on the small side but we found it had everything we needed, we unpacked and put our bags in the car boot to give us extra room in the B & B.. The room had a double bed, TV kettle and various sockets, it had a few coat hangers on a peg and a little shelf, plues two bedside cabinets and a chest of drawers for all our belongings.. The bathroom was a nice size containing a shower, basin and toilet all ideal for our stay.. The room was light and airy and very comfortable... The parking was not a problem if we were blocked in just a polite chat with the other guests and all was arranged, great option if you have a car as pretty much the whole island is pay & display. The breakfasts were really good, consisting of fruits, yougurts, cereals etc.. then the hot option an excellent full cooked breakfast which if you asked could be changed to suit your needs... The hosts Mark & Caz were fabulous, couldnt do enough for us and were available as and when we needed them.. the house overall was in fantastic condition, all rooms were of freshly decorated and very smart throughout... all in all if you want a wonderful B & B to stay in whilst during your stay on the isle of wight you couldnt go wrong staying here.... we loved it...

My wife and I stayed here for five nights and really enjoyed it. The owners Mark & Caz were very warm, friendly and welcoming, the b&b itself is exceptionally clean, comfortable, quiet(it's adults only so no noisy, screeming kids!) with very modern, light, tasteful decor throughout. We had room number 8 which is very spacious and again, very clean, modern and light. It has separate lavatory and shower rooms which I,personally think is a good idea! The bed was comfortable so no problems with sleep although, unfortunately,we did woken quite early by the seagulls, but then, you are close to the sea. The breakfast is delicious,we had the full english on 3 occasions and bacon and sausage sandwiches for the remainder, all freshly cooked and served lovely and hot.Pots of tea and coffee are served and again nice and hot. Cereals, yoghurts, toast, juices etc are help yourself. I believe there are 4 rooms here and off road car parking for 3-4 reasonable sized cars but if they are full, you can park in the adjoining strees close by. The b&b is close to bus stops and the railway station is about 5-10 minutes walk away. You can access the beach and espanade via a lift if walking is difficult which again is about 5-10 minutes or you can walk it in about 20. There are many pubs, resturants and take aways close by and shops to look around-the actual little village of Shanklin is beautiful. I would very highly recommend staying at The Richmond if you want relaxation, peace, quiet,a warm, friendly welcome,a delicious breakfast and excellent value for money. I'm a little fussy but seriously, I could find nothing to moan about! Thank you Mark & Caz for a wonderful stay!
