Carrygerry Country House

The property is super cute. Staff very helpful and friendly. Rooms have lots of character.

We were there for a countryside wedding and it was the most perfect location! Staff was warm and welcoming, food was delicious and fresh, the rooms and the gardens well maintained… the surroundings include sheeps and cows so a definite plus!

We visited this lovely Country House on Friday evening last for dinner. As many reviews have already stated, its location is among the beautiful rolling plains of Clare close to Shannon. A lovely quiet quaint location to spend a peaceful evening. We were met at reception by a very helpful young man who showed us into a nice living room, took our drinks order and gave us our menus for our Dinner. A great selection to choose from. I chose the seafood chowder to start and the surf and turf for the main course. My wife chose the patè to start and the baked cod for mains. Our drinks came quickly and then we ordered our food. Shortly after, we were brought into a really nice conservatory for dinner. It was not very busy as we arrived circa 6pm for a 6.30pm seating. I have to say that the food was divine. My seafood chowder was hot, creamy, and full of flavour with a great variety of fish. My wife's Paté also hit the right buttons. My main was belly of pork served with prawns, lovely gravy, and a variety of fresh vegetables. The pork was served on a bed of beautiful mash. My wife's cod was also served on a bed of mash. We had plenty of everything we needed and it was so flavoursome and yummy we loved it. The food was so good we decided to go all the way and have dessert. I opted for the ice cream whilst my wife went for the rhubarb cheese cake. Both were excellent. Our evening was just top class. The young servers were friendly and professional, the food was on a par with fine dining anywhere and very reasonably priced. We can not recommend this location highly enough, and we will certainly return soon. Well done Carrygerry, keep up the good work. Ray and Bernie.

Wonderful stay in this gorgeous old country house. Bed so comfortable. Lovely quiet area even though so close to Shannon airport. Cows in the fields around the house but you could see planes taking off in the distance. Beautiful rooms. Lovely breakfast.

Was not thrilled with our stay at Carrygerry. Granted the grounds are beautiful, and the history of the house is interesting; the room we had was in poor condition. Carpet quite dirty, furniture dusty, bathroom towels threadbare, with one having a hole in it. One window was difficult to close. The bed was comfortable, and the reception when we checked in a little chilly. The owner did get up early am and let us back in after we had locked ourselves out when loading our car to head to airport. Thank you for that.

What a great place. We stayed in the rooms off the court yard overlooking the ponies! You are in the middle of the country, Surronded by cow fields and only 10 minutes from Shannon Airport. We had the bed and breakfast rate and the breakfast was outstanding.. All fresh pastries right out of the oven, homemade jellies. Outstanding service and staff. A really beautiful place. You will not be disappointed.

Located near the Shannon Airport, surrounded by green fields with grazing cows, the Carrygerry Country House was a little bit of heaven. Niall and Gillian know how to make their guests fell welcome and uphold high standards of customer service. It is a full service hotel serving both homemade breakfast and lovely dinners. The establishment also has a full service bar where you can enjoy a pint out in their wonderful, private garden patio. We stayed here because of its convenient location to Shannon Airport, about 15 minute drive away and the quiet, pastoral setting. If you are arriving from an international destination or departing for a ling flight home Carrygerry is an excellent place to rest up. The day we arrived there were several family parties happening a first communion and wedding anniversary. So for the locals this is a special place to celebrate a family milestone.

Stayed in a room on the courtyard. Carpet was spotless. Twin room. Comfy beds. Huge bathroom. Great shower. Warm cosy and clean room. Woke up to the birds singing. Very peaceful. Dinner was excellent and breakfast was fabulous. 5 star service.

First time ever in the restaurant and what an experience. Fining dining at its best. Friendly staff from the second we walked in the door until we left. Great food, beautiful environment, great choice of wine. Overall, an experience that's worth the money. It was the 1st time but absolutely not the last time. A little gem hidden in Clare worth discovering!
