Carriage Ridge Resort, Ascend Hotel Collection

I was shocked at how great the rooms were. I was expecting a ghetto stay but it was great. We came for Vetta spa , but the ski hill was right out our window - wish we thought ahead and brought our gear. Perfect space for couples - not sure if the pull out bed is available or not. But a family of 3 or 4 would have a great time. Full kitchen huge bonus!

Upon checking in we were upgraded to a one bedroom suite with no charge. The room was super clean nice view from balcony and late check out of noon was granted. Grounds really kept cleaned. Nice location. Bring food to bbq they have them on site and a fully stocked kitchen to cook in.

We stayed at Carriage Ridge over the Christmas holiday for 3 nights. We loved the location and enjoyed being able to walk out our door and be in the slopes in 2 minutes. The one bedroom unit was very spacious and was equipped with everything we needed (except salt and pepper). It even included packets of laundry detergent which let us do a load of laundry while here. The rooms are not completely modern but have been updated and were very clean. We also had very prompt service from the front desk. They seemed organized, pleasant and good at their job. You have to book a time for the pool which isn’t convenient but understandable because of Covid. We would stay here again.

This is our 3rd year in a row booking at the resort. Amazing location- close to lots of great activities. However this time our room was not clean upon arrival- hair all over the bathroom floor, not swept. This was not what we have experienced before. The receptionist working at the front desk was so rude and stressed. It is March Break and their busiest time of the year -which she told us many times over and over- however we paid a lot of money to be there and it is our vacation - no need to take your stress out on the customers. After the change in service since previous visits - we won’t come back.

I’ve been here a few times and there are pros and cons. It’s worth it to get the nicer suites - better beds and the kitchens are well appointed. There are no restaurants which is fine but they did not let us know when checking in about a 5 hour planned power outage. When we mentioned this would have been helpful they insisted we had been told. A sign on the door to the lobby area could have ensured all guests were informed and planned accordingly.

Great place to stay with friends and family, spacious, clean, and close to the hills. The room have everything you need and the pool is fantastic. The grounds are tidy with bbq’s and a fire pit. Ted and his staff were amazing at helping us sort out an issue with a 3rd party booking company - they truly went above and beyond. Their patience and professionalism was top-notch - highly recommend. I can’t say enough about how well we were treated by all the staff that helped us.
