Hometown Famous Hotels in the Ancient City (Lu Xun’s Hometown Cangqiao Zhijie Store, Shaoxing)

I've been to Shaoxing many times, and this was my first time trying a guesthouse – it exceeded my expectations! The location is excellent, peaceful yet central, just a few steps away from the bustling city life. All the places I wanted to visit were very close. I loved the beautiful courtyard and the cute cats, and it was perfect timing with the loquats ripening in the garden... The room facilities were smart, there were plenty of outlets, and even a wireless charger on the nightstand. The incense smelled wonderful, and the welcome fruit and little gift were a nice touch. Breakfast was also good... The staff were young, energetic, warm, and attentive. I'll definitely choose this place again on my next visit and will recommend it to friends.

The location is absolutely perfect, within a 10-minute walk to both Lu Xun's Former Residence and Cangqiao Straight Street, and there are plenty of dining options nearby. The room itself is very new and stylish. But the real highlight is the service: it's truly exceptional. They helped with my luggage upon arrival, escorted me to my room, and clearly explained how to use all the facilities. They even have their own parking lot. It really felt like a star-rated hotel with a dedicated concierge. They brought snacks, drinks, and fruit, and didn't skimp on quality either. All in all, it's the top choice for anyone visiting Shaoxing, and I'll definitely be recommending it to my friends!

The hotel has a lovely courtyard design, and the rooms are spacious with good soundproofing. It's very close to Lu Xun's former residence, less than a 5-minute walk away. It happened to be my birthday on the day I checked in, and even though I didn't mention it, the staff were very observant and surprised me with a bottle of wine. I really appreciate that!

Elegant interiors, excellent service. Pros: ❶ Great location! It's just over 200 meters walk to the west gate of Lu Xun's former residence. There are many restaurants nearby, including Kong Yiji Restaurant, Xianheng Hotel, Xun Bao Ji, and Ji Heli, all just a short alley away. ❷ Attentive service! Upon check-in, we were treated to a large bowl of fruit and a big bag of preserved vegetable cakes. In the evening, each person received a bowl of red date and white fungus soup. You can also choose to have incense lit in your room. ❸ Delicious and varied breakfast. When checking in, you can choose between Chinese and Western options. On the day of dining, you can select your main dish, and there are also fruits, pastries, and snacks available. ❹ This hotel is a beautifully renovated old residence with an elegant courtyard and spacious rooms. It even retains the latticed windows and corridors of the old building. The soundproofing is also quite good. The stray black cat, who often gets fed, isn't afraid of people and is now expecting kittens.

A heartwarming B&B built by a caring team (according to my parents' review 😁). I traveled with my parents to Shaoxing for the first time, and the B&B's location was super convenient – just a five-minute walk to Lu Xun's former residence. The room was very clean, and the service was attentive and thoughtful; we truly felt cared for and respected. The breakfast was plentiful, with customizable main courses and unlimited refills for other snacks. This approach was much better than a full buffet, as it prevented waste. The nutritious dessert offered every evening was delicious and served warm. Mimi, the B&B's little 'housekeeper' cat, would wag her tail and come running as soon as you called her name – she's very friendly and well-behaved. Mimi is pregnant, and I wish her a smooth delivery and hope they can all live happily in the courtyard forever 💓

The hotel's location is super close to the scenic area, about a 300-meter walk from Lu Xun's former residence, which is incredibly convenient! Although the hotel isn't huge, the front desk courtyard is very charming and tastefully decorated. The room itself was also spotless and spacious. I especially want to praise the shower gel—it smelled lovely, a scent I really enjoyed! The breakfast spread was also excellent! All in all, a very satisfying guesthouse experience!
