Naama Bay Hotel & Resort

The hotel's location is excellent, but the service is very poor, especially the front desk and the delay in checking into the room.

The sea is far away, and the property is huge, which is quite inconvenient. Also, if you plan to go to the airport by yourself, be prepared to walk over a kilometer uphill with your luggage, as only their special taxis are allowed to park near the hotel, and a ride to the airport with them costs as much as a plane ticket. The food is not tasty.

Good hotel

We booked this hotel very quickly during peak travel times (last minute, just a few hours before departure). The good: the hotel is well located, with plenty of shops and plenty of places to stroll; the food is well prepared (we got food poisoning once, not at the hotel, but at the nearby Pomodoro restaurant); the beach is nice with a gentle slope; reception quickly resolves issues when possible (for example, they gave us an extra room with a connecting door for a fee, and everyone was happy). The bad: housekeeping is poor (there's a lot of dirt behind the bedside tables and other hidden places—they haven't been cleaned in years); I left £200 a day in each of my two rooms, at a rate of £100; the bathroom is dirty and requires extra effort to scrub, but that wasn't attempted; the lighting in the room is poor; the air conditioning is very noisy; Overall, the rooms (at least two) are very run-down, and it feels like they've simply squeezed the hotel dry, with the only renovation being painting the entrance doors to the rooms. The entertainment is subpar—primitive evening "shows"; and I'll mention the food—I couldn't finish my sausage (sausage is a bad word). Five-star hotels are not all the same. The prices, as I understand it, also vary. Consequently, the hotel is worse than some others, but the price is also lower.

The biggest advantage of the hotel is its location. Right in the middle of Naama Bay, within walking distance to the market, cafes and the sea. The rooms were a bit old but clean.
