Residence Inn by Marriott Boston Needham

Spent 9 nights there. Have stayed in these longer term stay hotels before, but this is the first time for a longer stay... Rooms were fairly well stocked in the kitchen area. Full size fridge, microwave, two burner cooktop, sink, and dishwasher. Basic dishes and utensils provided. Corkscrew would have been nice (but I bet those go missing often). Bed comfortable, couch less so. Shower nice size and shape but could have used a little more water pressure. A/C worked very well. Little bottle of dish soap, sponge (Scrub Mommy) and packet of dishwasher detergent provided. Internet (basic, not the upcharge tier) was fine for using Fire TV stick we brought with us. Had a maintenance issue which was resolved reasonably quickly by a nice humming/singing maintenance man. Breakfast was decent, not great. The hot items weren't overly hot and I don't know what that turkey sausage is made from but it was rubbery. Good selection of other choices (cereal, yogurt, fruit, make your own waffles, oatmeal, english muffins/bagels). We did sit outside in the fire pit area which was nice. It's in an industrial park so not much for scenery, but the fence hides most of the parking garage that it's next to. Speaking of parking, no idea what their obsession is with charging for parking in this location. We found a rate that included it and you should too, as it's just a silly money grab to charge $10 a day in a parking lot full of monster potholes. Used guest laundry once. Would say 25% of machines out of service, but nobody else using it when we were so didn't impact us. Front desk has rolls of quarters at the ready for you. ($4 ea for washer and dryer). Housekeeping. Quality of it, perfectly fine. Scheduling, a laughable disaster. They make very clear at check-in that it's every other day. Totally reasonable and I'm fairly good at reading a calendar. First couple times was fine, then they missed us on our scheduled day (we were out all day so it wasn't a case of the do not disturb sign being left on). Then they came the next two days in a row (we sent them away the 2nd day as we didn't need it.) They never quite got back on schedule and had to go to the front desk twice to get towels and some other supplies. Overall it was a reasonable value for the rate. Would stay there again.

We stayed here for two nights while visiting Boston and had a pleasant stay. The hotel provided a free shuttle to the nearest train station where we easily caught a train to all the sites in Boston. The hotel is new and everything is still in top shape with a great decor. The free breakfast was also really yummy! Everyone we encountered was very polite and helpful. Can't beat it for the price!
