On three previous road trips to the east coast from British Columbia, my wife and I had never overnighted in Shediac. On this occasion I had wanted to watch the 80th Anniversary of D-Day coverage on TV so we pulled into town late in the afternoon of June 06. Not sure where to stay, we noticed the Shores and decided to give it a try. A pleasant surprise was in store for us. The lovely receptionist made me feel welcome immediately, asking questions and just being down-to-earth friendly! What a difference in attitude from so many previous motel/hotel front desk staff I've encountered. Our room was spacious and spotless and met all of our needs. I'm sure the room has recently been renovated, for all the fixtures and general decor appear to be very modern. The bathroom included a bathtub with excellent rain-head shower. On checking out the following morning, I inadvertently met the same receptionist outside, and, despite having many other guests, she greeted me by name, and, I noticed she did the same with another guest. Great memory, but also an added personal touch to make one feel appreciated. I have no difficulty in recommending this establishment to others and will definitely stay again if fortune should permit me a return trip to the area. Thank you for the genuine hospitality and good luck in the future.
