Mount Wolseley Hotel Spa & Golf Resort

We were returning guests to Mount Wolseley.. From the initial booking to checkout we were treated very courteously and professionally in a very relaxed manner . The reception team particularly Fifi and Sinead were pleasant , professional and engaging beyond belief . Our room overlooking the front aspect was huge , immaculately clean , bright and welcoming . All the breakfasts we enjoyed were appetizing, with a marvelous selection of choices served by friendly smiling engaging young staff , thanks in particular to Kathy and Emma . The lounge area was busy most of the time ... very good sign with lots of wonderful guys and girls ensuring a drinks or snack order was taken and delivered In a timely manner . Thanks to Sara , Rachel ,Aoife and Mattew . Our dinner experience in the Ivy Resturant was sublime to say the very least . The menu was quite varied in choice with ours in particular particularly delicious from the first bite to the last morsel. Thanks Eoin for great service . The spa was a wonderful experience . We enjoyed 5 treatments where the wonderful receptionist Kathleen and her amazing team Michaela ,Chloe made us feel so relaxed in beautiful treatment & relaxation areas . The last word is for a truly hand picked man for his role the Operations Mgr Ian . His level of care , knowledge , and love for his role was truly magnificent . He was so friendly with time to chat whenever anyone approached him ... AMAZING ! This might look like a huge name drop but it's not meant to be , just actual recognition of brilliant people doing a great job in a beautiful resort. Well done everyone !!!! We'll be back soon .

Very pleasant stay at Mount Wolseley Hotel. Staff were very pleasant. The food was first class. Overall a lovely place to stay.

My wife and I heard about this hotel from friends who had recommended it. This hotel is spacious, with very helpful staff, spotlessly clean and good value for money. The only drawback is its location, however, Altmont gardens are close by and Wexford town is only 1 hour away, and most of the eastern seaboard is shorter than that. The hotel itself has a golf course, spa, etc. We would highly recommend this hotel and look forward to staying again some time in the future.

A great night away in a luxurious setting. The staff are ever so attentive without being intrusive. The food was beautiful and cooked to everyone's preference. highly recommend this hotel. the whole experience was really enjoyable from start to finish. Well done Mount Wolseley!

Yet again another amazing weekend away, I have stayed here a few times and I could not fault Mount wolseley, Thanks so much to Sinead and all the staff, there's nothing they wouldn't do to make your stay amazing, The food is great, the atmosphere in the bar was so good, See you all again soon x

We had an amazing time in Mount Wolseley. A group of 12 celebrating a birthday. From start to finish the staff were just brilliant. They really couldn’t do enough for us and nothing was too much trouble. I don’t think I’ve stayed in a hotel were every single member of staff were so friendly. The hotel was beautiful, rooms were very spacious and spotlessly clean. From spa treatments to afternoon tea, evening meal and breakfast there was nothing we could fault. Thank you Mount Wolseley for making our stay one to remember.

We attended a family wedding here a couple of years ago, and loved it. We recently returned for a 1 night stay and could not recommend it highly enough. Everything about this hotel is special. It's beautiful location, warm welcoming staff, extremely comfortable, good sized rooms and great food in the Aaron Lounge and Frederick's Restaurant. A special mention to Ria, such a professional mannered and lovely young woman.

Have been here several times and the one thing that stands out as you enter from the main door is the overwhelming smell of food ! Surely something can be done about this problem and it definitely is a problem. On this particular day we were there ( Friday 13th!) , they seemed to forget we ordered a meal in the bar and when reminded , just looked non plussed ! Food arrived after 30 minutes and we enjoyed it . Definitely very junior staff on bar floor but I must say the lady who settled our bill was friendly and efficient . I hope the pungent food smell can be rectified at some point as it is quite off putting on entering the hotel .

Stayed here on a two night dinner and B&B getaway with my Mam. All the staff and the food, especially at dinner, were amazing. The room was clean, quiet and had all necessities including tea, coffee, water etc. Comfortable big beds and modern bathrooms. There was a wedding on, we didn't hear a thing! The food on the set menu was superb, we were served quickly and the staff were very attentive and friendly. They were busy and worked well as a team. The hotel is becoming a bit dated in areas and this does take from the '4 star'. This is obvious when you make your way down to the gym and leisure facilities. These could really do with an overhaul and upgrade. The restaurant, although nice, could also do with a make over (new carpet, decoration etc). We did look at the spa treatments but found them overpriced. Have stayed in 5 star hotels and used other spas that have been cheaper. Would have loved to explore the grounds but unfortunately the weather was not that great!
