I was very impressed with this property. In the conventional sense of usage of stars, a Best Western is not a "five star" hotel, but for TripAdvisor I tend to snap to what appears to be the intent that stars factor in a calibration for what you would "expect" given the hotel brand and price paid. And, on this basis, this hotel delivered well on all fronts. The exterior of the hotel presents an inviting experience, with modern and organic design elements. There is plenty of convenient parking both in front of and behind the hotel. I like the fact that entry via the rear door does not require use of the room key; I know some might view that as a negative on account of safety and security concerns, but c'mon, this is small town Montana, I'm not too worried about nefarious characters coming inside. And it's nice not to fumble for the room key when bringing luggage or the dog inside. Check-in was quick and easy, with a very friendly and conversational front desk clerk. The room itself was quite nice and delivered on all fronts . . . clean and spacious and comfortable and quiet. There was a microwave and an in-room refrigerator with a small freezer compartment. The complimentary breakfast was standard fare for mid-tier hotels, with a pretty good variety of hot and cold options. No, it's not gourmet dining, but it was just fine. Although I did not use the pool, it was sizable and inviting. Perhaps the only negative was that the fitness room was a little slight. There were only two pieces of cardio equipment: an elliptical machine and a bike. But, on the other hand, it's not like you expect a swanky health club at a place like this. I'd also give a shout out to the hotel for accepting pets (like our dog) and not charging an outrageous pet fee; the pet fee was like $20 . . . many hotels these days are charging $50 or even $75, which is just outrageous. Overall, this was a positive experience and nobody should have any hesitancy about staying here.
