Shenzhen Moshiyaju Hotel (Luohu Mixc Branch)

I booked this hotel on a whim while visiting Shenzhen last week. Honestly, I didn't have high expectations for an older hotel in Luohu, but Moshang Yajue really surprised me! The moment I walked in, I was pleasantly surprised – the lobby isn't ostentatious but feels very high-quality, with warm lighting. The front desk staff were super nice; check-in was efficient, and she even offered to add me on WeChat for any needs. She also pointed out nearby convenience stores, a snack street, and the quickest route to Dongmen Old Street, which was incredibly helpful for an out-of-towner! The first thing I noticed when I opened the room door was how clean it was! There was none of that stuffy, moldy smell or harsh disinfectant odor often found in older hotels. The bedding was pristine white and clearly changed after every guest; the bed was so neatly made I almost didn't want to lie on it, haha! The towels and bath sheets were fluffy and odorless, which is so important for someone like me who's a bit of a clean freak. The bathroom had a separate wet and dry area, and the smart toilet seat was a nice touch. The water pressure was strong, and hot water came out instantly. It was well-designed, and a shower after being out and about was incredibly refreshing. I booked a projector room, and the projection was very clear, with member access to shows. The mattress was on the softer side but offered good support. With the blackout curtains drawn, it was so quiet that I, a light sleeper, actually slept through until I woke up naturally. The air conditioning was also quiet and didn't blow directly on the bed. The attention to detail was also impressive: the makeup mirror had a light, which is fantastic for girls doing their makeup. The hairdryer was powerful and not a flimsy one. The free laundry room with a dryer is a lifesaver for longer trips. Upon checkout, I even received a small souvenir (like a steam eye mask or mini building blocks). While not expensive, it made me feel appreciated, haha. As for the location – it's within a ten-minute walk of Hongling/Laojie subway stations, making it convenient for shopping and eating in Dongmen, or visiting MixC or Diwang. There's a 24-hour convenience store downstairs, and if you get hungry late at night, you can find food in the alley across the street. If you're driving, there are parking spaces available in the courtyard (subject to availability on the day). Overall, for this price in Luohu, being able to stay in such a new, clean, and service-oriented hotel really exceeded my expectations. However, what happened *after* checkout made me want to complain – first, I planned to meet up with friends after checking out. After leaving the hotel, I took a taxi to head to our meeting point. Who would've thought I'd hit rush hour traffic, and the road was an absolute mess. The driver took ages to get to the destination. I was dragging my luggage on the roadside for just a few minutes and nearly got hit by an electric scooter, which immediately got me half-way angry. Plus, it started raining, and the streets were wet everywhere, which really dampened my mood. In the end, I was so annoyed I didn't even eat, and just went home fuming. I really don't want to come here again.....

Sure enough, the aired duvet had a fresh, sun-kissed scent. The mattress was neither too soft nor too firm, and after a long day, I was able to shed all my exhaustion soon after lying down. The bathroom featured a separate wet and dry area, and the vanity was tidy and dry. The shower had ample water pressure, and hot water came out instantly. The toiletries provided were comprehensive and of a quality comparable to many mid-to-high-end hotels. The room also came equipped with a smart control system, allowing voice control for lights, curtains, and air conditioning, which was incredibly convenient, especially for those who prefer not to get up to adjust things. The overall experience was exceptional value for money. However, there was a very frustrating incident on the day I checked in. I purchased some daily necessities, but the delivery service was quite ridiculous. The app showed it was delivered, but I never received it. The merchant then turned the tables on me, implying I had taken it and was trying to cheat them. In the end, I didn't receive my items and wasted a lot of time. The merchant even called the police over a few dozen yuan. The police came and checked the hotel's surveillance cameras, confirming that it was indeed not delivered, and I hadn't received it. Being wrongly accused like that really upset me. It was truly outrageous. I demanded an apology from the merchant, but their attitude was very poor. Finally, they refunded me the money for the purchase, but I still felt uncomfortable. It wasted my time, and I didn't get what I bought. It completely ruined my good mood, and the experience was really, really bad.

The hotel was exceptionally clean. My family and friends and I had a very comfortable stay; it was quiet at night, which was great for the kids, who also enjoyed the entire stay.
