TrueGo Hotel(ShenZhen FutianPort Convention and Exhibition X Center)

This hotel is quite overpriced for 600-700 RMB a night, considering both the poor software (service) and hardware (facilities). I'm honestly puzzled why it has such a high rating on Ctrip. You can refer to the review for the other room I booked simultaneously for more details. Definitely not recommended!

Let me start by saying: Not recommended! This was the worst hotel experience of our entire trip to Hong Kong, Macau, Shenzhen, and Huizhou! I don't understand why Ctrip gives it such a high rating. I urge everyone to compare more – there are many better value-for-money options out there. First, the location: It's in a residential area, and there was construction right outside, so the environment wasn't great. Next, the service: Aside from check-in and check-out, there was practically no other service. We stayed for three nights, and the front desk staff never once greeted guests proactively. When it rained, the hotel didn't even have emergency umbrellas available. Then, the facilities: It's clearly not a 2021 hotel. From the diagram on the door, it's obvious that Qiuguo took over a second-hand hotel and just rebranded it. The facilities are quite poor, with no quality to speak of. Just take a look at the gym and laundry room (which are essentially combined with a storage room in one space), and you'll get the idea. Most importantly, I have no idea what justifies the price of 600-700 RMB per night for this place 🙏

The environment is good, but the cleanliness could be improved (there were hairs on the bedside table and water on the floor). I'm not sure if this was due to a last-minute room change, but next time I hope the room can be thoroughly checked before being given to a guest (the window in the first room was broken). Everything else was great; the front desk staff was very responsive and quickly resolved any issues. The location is also very convenient, in a lively residential area close to the subway station and a shopping mall, and the price is reasonable.

The shower room floor was yellowish and slippery; be careful if you have kids. The bathroom door looked like it had been replaced, and there was no warning that it opened outwards – it felt like it could fall off at any moment. The room had poor ventilation, and even checking in close to 10 PM, the floor was still wet. Not worth the price.

The front desk staff were very attentive and deserve praise. The room was clean and comfortable, and breakfast was provided. I especially want to commend the breakfast for being clean, hygienic, and convenient. It's definitely worth staying here. The value for money is also great.

The location is excellent, just a 3-4 minute walk from the subway station entrance. Across from the hotel is a large shopping mall, and there are many restaurants nearby, making it perfect for all types of travelers. There's a coffee shop on the first floor of the hotel, and the rooms are clean and comfortable. I'll definitely choose to stay here again next time I'm in Shenzhen.
