One of the best youth hostels in Shenzhen, run by a lovely family from Henan Province. I stayed for about a month and had a marvellous time.
Upon arrival, the owner helped me carry my large suitcase up the stairs. The check-in process was very easy. Here are the pros and cons:
Pros:
— Friendly towards international travellers, unlike many hostels in Shenzhen.
— Well-equipped kitchen available for guests.
— Laundry room with a dryer (using a dryer is uncommon in China).
— Slippers are provided.
— Spacious public lounge.
— Supermarkets, convenience stores, restaurants, pharmacies, a printing shop and a small park in the vicinity.
— Close to the metro station, about a 10-minute walk. (Fumin Station, Line 10, Exit J2)
Cons:
— The biggest challenge is using the squat toilets. Though the janitor cleans them regularly, they can still get dirty easily. Many foreign tourists are not used to them.
— The public shower rooms are a bit small for taller people.
Many facilities are QR code operated. Ask for help if you are not used to Alipay or WeChat.
Overall, it’s a great place. They are very serious about running the hostel. I would definitely recommend it.

Great stay at Dengba Inn & Youth Hotel (Futian Convention Center)! 🌟
Clean and comfortable rooms, super convenient location just minutes from the Convention Center and metro. Staff were friendly and helpful, Wi-Fi was strong, and the atmosphere was cozy yet vibrant. Excellent value for money — highly recommended for both business and leisure travelers!

The front desk staff were very enthusiastic, and the beds were very clean. It was an 8-person room with quite a few people, so there was some noise at night. Still, it was very affordable. The shower area was a bit small. Overall, it comes recommended.
