Wyndham Grand Properties in Shenzhen

This was my first time at this hotel in Futian, Shenzhen, and the location is absolutely fantastic, right in the heart of the Futian CBD. They agreed to my request for an executive suite upgrade, but when I got there, they only had one room available. The room itself had a really strong musty and old smell, which was bad enough. But when I asked a staff member to come and smell it, they actually claimed they couldn't smell anything! I didn't even know what to say after that, so I asked to switch rooms. They told me the other room was still being cleaned and to wait in the original room for now, but didn't give me an estimated time. After an hour and a half, and countless calls between myself and the Trip.com concierge (seriously, seven or eight calls!), they finally told me the room was ready and someone would come to show it to me. But then another ten minutes passed and no one showed up, so I had to call again to rush them. To top it all off, the hotel didn't offer any apology or compensation for any of this – they were incredibly arrogant. I really don't have much else to say. And even though the room was large, the facilities were old, and there were no two-prong outlets, so I had to use an adapter to charge my devices.

Top reasons to book it: 1. Perfect location - one minute away from a beautiful peaceful park 光明新城公园; across the road from the shopping mall Mira and Wanda Plaza; opposite of the culture center of GuangMing. 2. Only 1,5 km away from the major tourist attraction - Red Bridge Park 虹桥公园 I recommend to get on the bus when you go there and come back on foot (it’s down the hill) 3. Stunning architecture- the building itself is a great landmark in the area. 4. Huge room with ideal layout and overall design, lots of aesthetic details that makes a sense of cozy yet modern home. The room is equipped with a smart home system, no old school telephones by the toilet seat, there’s an inbuilt compact speaker. 5. Spacious shower room. But the key feature of the room is the grand bathroom with an elegant bathtub. The whole bathroom is surrounded by the panoramic windows, so you can enjoy a mesmerizing view of the city. 6. Another hot feature of this hotel is its dining hall located on the top floor inside the rotating platform, so anyone may have a chance to experience the 360 degrees view. The breakfast menu is diverse and rich, balanced mix of chinese and western cuisine, with fresh aromatic coffee and cooked on site pastries like Viennese waffles. 7. Service was incredible, in English, smooth, smart and personalized, personnel even deliver your takeaways directly to your door, in case the robot is busy or charging. 8. The lounge area is enormous with a gorgeous patio equipped with soft sofas, decorated with a man made waterfall and greenery.
