Seeing the cherry blossoms 🌸 and soaking in the hot springs in Ikaho, I am happy

The service was very good. We booked a Japanese-style suite. The room was beautiful and the view outside the window was great, but the toilet was very smelly! ! ! ! It also smells bad in the room, which is the only big drawback! ! The breakfast was just so-so, and the dinner was just okay. Nothing wrong with it. It’s just that the toilet in the room is really smelly. I won’t go there again 😭

■Good points Location: The inn is conveniently located in the middle of the famous stone steps street. Cleanliness: The facility itself is quite old as it is a long-established inn, but there are quite a few areas that have been renovated, and the changing rooms and toilets were quite clean depending on the location. Service: Staff are generally polite and kind. There were some foreign employees, but they were all polite and likable. Price: The open-air baths open at 0:00 a.m. and are open to both men and women, and when combined with the large public bath, you can enjoy three different baths. The food was delicious, and since I like karaoke, it was nice to be able to enjoy it inside the inn. I stayed in a travel package for 24,300 yen per person including train fare, and I think I was quite satisfied with the price. Meals: The plan included dinner and breakfast. There was so much food that I couldn't finish it all. Facilities: There were plenty of amenities. A**osphere: Overall the a**osphere was good. I was impressed by the warm welcome from the staff. ■Bad points Location: It can't be helped, but the scenery is not good. I can't help but notice the dilapidated and run-down inns around me, and it feels eerie. Cleanliness: The room was spacious and clean, but some of the lace curtains were discolored brown, probably due to condensation. Dirty curtains make me feel bad, so I would like to see something improved. Service: The TV turned off during a karaoke night, and I asked for someone to fix it, but it was left unattended for over 20 minutes, and when I called to ask for help, I was treated like ``I understand,'' which made me angry. I thought this response was terrible even though the rate is hourly. I didn't raise a complaint because the lyrics were displayed in a small window on the DAM machine, but I'm not satisfied with it.

I stayed with my family in a slightly larger room with an open-air bath. The onsen was good, but it's an old fashioned onsen ryokan. It was expensive during the high season, but Ikaho Onsen is relatively popular, so it can't be helped. Since the hot spring is free-flowing, the ingredients harden, but even if I remove it, I was worried about the black mold around the water and the sash. The double sash was cloudy and I couldn't see much of the scenery. The food didn't feel very special.

In order to do some research on group travel in February, my husband and I chose the twin 1 night 2 board option, which was probably the cheapest option. The parking lot is in a separate location, so after getting off at the front entrance, the inn will move it to you and bring it back in the morning. If you have a luxury car, you can park it next to the entrance (so you don't leave anything behind in the car). Good location, about 5 minutes walk to the stone steps. Although it is an old building overall, it is clean. This time, I chose a room without a view because of the low price, so the view is not an issue. The outdoor and indoor baths are separate (on the same floor), one of the indoor baths was being renovated and could not be used, and the other was open for men and women on alternate hours. It's still inconvenient. The open-air bath is open 24 hours a day. The meals were sufficient both in the evening and in the morning.

A long-established inn where the landlady is still alive. All of the employees were very efficient and made me feel very comfortable. The food was delicious, and the special room on the top floor had a nice view and was clean. I would like to stay again.

The landlady welcomed us when we checked in and saw us off when we checked out. Perhaps she does this for all guests? And she did it right at the entrance. I was very grateful. Also, the food was very impressive. I wonder if it was creative cuisine? You can't imagine the taste just by looking at it, but when you eat it, you are impressed by the taste all over again. And most of the dishes give you that kind of surprise. There's no need to write about the bath. The water is straight from the source, and the steam rising from the hot spring in the dim light makes you feel the old days. To be honest, I didn't have high expectations because the price was reasonable, but on the contrary, I was grateful that it was so cheap. It was a trip just for the family, like in the old days, because the children would each have their own spouse and wouldn't be going out often. It was a good memory.

Visited using New Year's GOTO. It was my first time to Ikaho Onsen, but I felt like I had failed since the beginning of the New Year. The food was not good. ○ I felt again that the word of mouth of Ten Travel was not helpful.
