Best Hotels near Onogami Station, Shibukawa

A very local hotel popular among the local business travellers. I was there to explore Gunma mountains and this is one of the best western style hotel I can find that is close to train station. I do have to say the hotel is very old but everything still good for me. The single room is small but it has everything I need. Their 8 floor dining area for breakfast was so awesome as you have a wide view of the town and mountains around it. Breakfast is acceptable and I don’t have any complaints about it. What I like a lot is that they also provide free curry rice every weekdays excerpt weekend and public holiday. Although the curry rice is very simple without any meat, but it was so comforting to eat it. There’s also an onsen that you can use it, and a common room with comics, massage chairs and old school computer to use.

The self lounge at the corner of the lobby is good. Since it is a free drink except for night ～ early morning, I am glad to use it before and after check-in out, of course, after the morning bath. You can relax while watching the garden. Because it is winter, I didn't go out, but I saw foot bath? I want to go out next time because I saw something like it. The room is clean. It is especially convenient that there was a bath towel size pole in the bathroom. However, the corner room was more than enough for four people to stay, but I felt that the only advantage was the size, so I would like to choose a different room if possible. Since I was able to use Go To Travel this time, I chose this inn, and it was a great trip, with good baths and good meals. The next morning, I climbed the ropeway near the ryokan, and the scenery was more spectacular than I expected, so I recommend going there at least once.

It is very recommended to take the North Lu Shinkansen, Shangyue Shinkansen, my wife line and so on to the light well, Tangze, Xinyi, Caojin and other places. Avoid expensive accommodations in resorts and don't have to pull luggage frequently to change hotels. Suitable for JR pass travelers.

Good location near Maebashi Station. However, since the road in front of the hotel is a central separation zone because of the station front road, and it can only be entered from one direction, it is difficult to enter if you book a hotel parking lot. Since the nearby coin parking is cheaper than the hotel parking lot, I wonder if I will make a reservation for the hotel parking lot, which is difficult to enter and is expensive. The room was clean and I was able to spend it comfortably. There was a partition door between the bedroom and the washbasin / bath (feeling like a corridor), and there was a sense of security. Amenity shampoos were also highly evaluated among the general hotel amenities, and my hair was not stiff, which was impressive! There is no cleaning in the amenities, and the part where the face washing is used as hand soap is negative. The kettle in the room is also broken, and the button must be manually pressed until it boils, so it is negative. The large communal bath is neither good nor bad. Because it is in front of the station, the scenery cannot be seen at a glance, but the hot hot springs that enter while bathing in the outside wind were pleasant. Ice service after bath is also ◎. This price may be reasonable from the price and location, but the walls and doors were thin, and the sounds and voices of the corridors and the next room were heard, and it felt noisy at night. Because I went with my child, the child struggled hard to sleep easily with noise. As a general comment, if I went nearby again, I might stay at the same price or less, but it was a hotel that I couldn't say that I would definitely visit again. I stayed at other dome inn, but other dome was more comfortable...

It is a little difficult to find the way to the hotel, so navigation is essential. If you get off the main road, it's pretty troublesome if an oncoming car comes on a straight road. When you arrive, park your car and check into the lobby alone. The elderly front desk staff responded and carefully explained how to use the facilities. Return to the car and move to the log house where you will stay. The road is wide enough for one car to pass. The log house is two stories and has 5 beds. There is a toilet with a washlet, a separate bath, a mini kitchen with an electromagnetic range, a microwave oven, and a small refrigerator. There is a table for four and a terrace. There was one double outlet in each room. There is a TV and free Wi-Fi. Although it was in the mountains, there were no insects inside the log house, it was clean, and there were pet supplies (dog toilet, rice and water bowl, deodorant spray, roller, plastic bag). It was a comfortable stay. There is no roof in the passage between the parking lot and the log house, so when it rains, there is an umbrella at the entrance of the log house, so you can use it to carry your luggage. You can walk to the main building or drive to the public bath and dining room. A car is good on rainy days. When you leave your pet in the log house and go out to eat, bring a cage and put it in and go out, or leave it in the car. The large public bath is a hot spring with an open-air bath and an indoor bath, so it was spacious and relaxing. Sauna is closed due to Corona. It was a meal plan, but when I was checking in at 5:30 pm and carrying my luggage, it was time to eat. I couldn't do it slowly and I was busy. I wish it was a little more flexible. As for the meal, the roast beef is prepared in advance and the meat is dry and disappointing. The beech meat and vegetable stir-fried on the copper plate was warmed with solid fuel, so it was delicious. Appetizers, sashimi, and boiled dishes were delicious. The ingredients of the soup are dry ingredients and the soup stock is not absorbed, and the taste of the soup stock is not delicious. The contents are good for the price, but I would like the quality of the food to be a little better. Breakfast was a buffet, which was satisfying. Location is about half way up the Ikaho Stairs, only a 3-minute walk. The Onsen was quite large, with an outdoor bath overlooking the area. The waters are clear but when they touch oxygen they turn a golden color, rich in iron with those health properties. There is also another outdoor bath, and one large indoor-bath with hot springs water flowing down the rocks. Very calming. Men and women alternate sides at midnight so don't miss one of the baths. We had a really nice room on the 8th Floor with Western-style beds, very large entry way, a Tatami room with a splendid view of the Akakgi Renzan mountains. The Biggest surprize: the room had a complete cha****su- Japanese room for serving tea, complete with its own tokonoma, water server in the tatami, and an entrance that is only a meter high (sit on your knees and slide through). If you request it, they could arrange a little ceremony for you! Pick up some of their Daruma senbei cookies for a great present. To be honest, the outside is pretty shabby, when we drove up I said, ”What have I gotten us into?” Inside is very clean and new for a hotel built in 1868!
