We were very pleased with our one night stay after walking the Stone Forest for the day. It was a perfect days end and I suggest staying rather than boarding the bus. We walked the 1.8 km from the park ticket booth and bus area to this venue - easy to find (except that the pin on the map on Trip.com shows it on the opposite side of the road. Nevertheless, it was very easy to find from the pictures on the site by looking across the street.) We took the bus to Shilin and back to East Coach Station - super easy - 43 RMB each.

Super clean. Plenty of USB ports, which was useful for me to charge my drone equipment. Good noodles for breakfast. 20 minutes ride to Stone Forest. 30 minutes away from a train station. Food attention to details. Curtains have magnetic pins, so the light does not pass though holes in the morning. Service wise, restaurant personnel was good. Both days evening shift at reception was great, while morning had some wrong attitude (3.15-3.17). Overall, decent price value.

The room is okay, but the hot spring is not recommended, the hygiene is too bad! I woke up early in the morning to experience it. The pool was not cleaned. I just put some water in and added hot water. It was covered with human skin tissue from the previous few days and even had phlegm in my mouth. It's so scary! Great location that it is near a lot of food places, a store, and the Stone Forest. Even though I already visited Stone Forest on my visit to Kunming in 2018, this was still a good room in that I get my privacy. Hotel workers were nice in that they gave me more water and wanted to make my bed even though I didn't need it. I liked how it had a heater in there to keep me warm whenever the room got too cold. The thing that I was unsure of is how much freedom and accessibility I get in being able to cook things in the kitchen at times and I was confused about whether I was allowed to eat the food that the cook makes, or it is only for guests that order food and pay for it from him. Sometimes the cook is unpredictable in that I don't know when he comes to cook between the lunch and dinner hours. The front desk women were friendly and helpful in giving me information about certain things. I appreciate it when they loaned me a phone charger temporarily when mine broke until I can get a new replacement one. Thank You for that. The only thing I would have to say, is that it is too far from the city center from the train station in where I need to be in order to catch the train to Hekou and cross the border into Vietnam.
