Shimoda Hotels with Gym

The property has amazing ocean views high on an outcropping, but none of the rooms with an ocean view have a balcony, except the very edge of the east wing. Wonderful gardens with a path lading down to a small beach that isn't too noteworthy. The rooms have been updated since the construction and are pretty good overall. The pool was closed in June, which was pretty disappointing, especially as the beach is below par. The onsen facilities met expectation. The beds are firm, which I loved, but not everyone likes a firm mattress. The hotel operates a bus service to pick up guests from the train station twice an hour from 9-5pm. If you are doing dinner out in the town or drinks in the evening, you have to grab a taxi back as the walk is a bit of a hike. The hotel staff are very friendly and kind, the concierge knows the area and has great recommendation for activities...wonderful and friendly people. The hotel restaurant serves a nice mostly Japanese breakfast (as expected) with local delicacies, wide range of teas, coffee and juice as well as a great selection of breads and fresh fruit. The hotel restaurant for dinner is average. Our group ordered a range of items off the menu and no one was terribly impressed. The lone stand out was the French Onion soup, packed with flavor, though a bit light on the cheese. Would stay here again if the price was right, was able to get rooms at a discount on this stay as it was rainy season.

Although it's located upon a fairly steep hill, it's walking distance from the train station. The view of the ocean from my room was totally unobstructed meaning I could see moon beams shimmering on the water and watch the orange sunrise. The room can sleep 5 people on futons, so it was spacious. The onsen is average and supplies all the essentials including combs and razors. For the price and convenience of a one night stay, I'd do it again. Many hotels and resorts along the Izu coast are old. This particular one is too. This means that the bathtub tile is stained and the sink faucets are somewhat rusty. Everything functions, so if a little oldness doesn't bother you then it's fine. Breakfast offered a wide variety of mainly Japanese foods with a few western options. However, it just wasn't all that tasty. I didn't eat any Japanese food, but wouldn't recommend foreigners looking for a western style meal to stay there for the breakfast.

I stayed for one night in early August with a child of 4 and 7 years old for Shirahama Ohama Beach in front of the hotel. The hotel on the beach is very convenient for bathing with children, but I felt that the line was better here. Check in immediately after the temperature check at the hotel entrance (the room key is received after 15 o'clock), free cloak & shower and dressing room & coin laundry is in the same area, so it becomes light It is connected from the entrance to the pool very close and is the best to move. Moreover, it is good to be close to the public bath. It was convenient to go out directly from the pool to the sea in front of you, and there was a free hot spring shower that dropped sand in the pool when I returned from the sea. There is also a paid rental towel on the pool side with a shower and it is very convenient! It was limited to one word. Coin laundry - shower and dressing room - cloak - large bath - pool - sea All of these were nearby and had a good moving line, so it was good not to take tired children around in a large building There was also a free towel in the public bath. It was easy for children without having to return to the room. It was a room plan (main building confirmation) plan, so it was the third floor of the lowest floor in the room, but it was an outstanding view with a full view of the beach and pool. The only thing that is dissatisfied is the dining hall. There is no window on the mountain side of the first floor and the atmosphere like a large hall for the reception a long time ago. I thought this was perfect if I could see the sea on the top floor or the sea. The content of the meal was buffet. It was a buffet level of so-called ordinary resort hotels, but there were no bad or small types, and there was a live kitchen and it was usually delicious. The room had basic amenities, hot water in the pot and free tea and coffee, empty refrigerator, etc.

Very good flight and comfortable in front of Izu Express Shimoda Station. I arrived by bus, but there is also a bus terminal. However, the number of flights is not large. It is in a good place to check the time and spend the time adjusting to the bus time. The room was large and cozy. The front desk is not on the １ floor of the building, but there is a guide on the elevator. It is a little difficult to find, but you can see it if you look well. The front desk had a polite staff. The morning bread is also available near the front desk, but I was grateful. However, at night, there is no pleasure town around ... is it because of the corona? It was saved because there was a supermarket. It is recommended for people who use railways and buses.

I wanted a place to stay overnight easily, so I was very helpful. The room was also non-smoking and clean, and I went after seeing the installer, but it was very fashionable, and the remote was easy to use and it was a calm environment even at this time. I had a whole day off, so I rented a rental cycle and rowed. I was very refreshed!

It is only ten minutes' walk from Shimoda Park to watch the Hydrangea Show. The opposite of Xia Tian Park is the Aquarium. If you want to watch the dolphin show, you should check the schedule in advance. It takes 20 minutes to go to Shirahama Shrine by car, but this bus only runs every two hours, which is too little. The hotel's breakfast is a Japanese-style meal. There is a large public bath in the hotel. You can soak in hot springs indoors and outdoors. The room we booked is very large, and it is a sea view room, which is very good

It will be suitable for family or several group trips. There is expensive juice and beer in the refrigerator and it is free. The flowers decorated in the Japanese room are not real flowers. It is a relaxed inn of 21 rooms, but the next room was not used today, and it was not seen that there were many guests. For this reason, I was not troubled by the sound, and the bedroom was not dark by the light outside, but I had a quiet and relaxing time. The hot spring is weak alkaline, transparent and no smell, but it is good for the skin. The temperature was good and I was able to soak comfortably. There are two open-air baths and a large bath, and men and women are replaced by time. There are few rooms, so there are always no one or several people. The dish was full of sea yuki. I made a little good course, and the boiling of the gold eyelid was delicious. Sashimi is also fresh, such as a few kinds of sashimi in one of the shrimp, and abalone dance. The taste is just right. The amount is a little bit large for the elderly. Breakfast is not the standard azi opening but gold eyelid. There are a lot of goods for the elderly. The employee's response is a bit habitual, but the elderly Nakai who guided the entrance is a bit habitual, but the female employee who had dinner and good breakfast and liquidation is a polite and naive person It was good that the liquidation at check-out was also done in the room. The transfer bus departs to Shimoda station every 30 minutes in the morning.

I went to the Prince Hotel, which is 々 for a member of the SEIBU PRINCE CLUB, but I think the staff here is the best. The facilities in the room feel old, but there is no bad impression. The bedding in the Japanese room was thick and the family's reputation was good. It was a pity that there was no sauna in the public bath, but it was a hot spring, so I am satisfied. The sound of the waves erased the noise and became a deep sleep, which was the best for me personally. The breakfast buffet has a lot of variations, and there is a paper cup for takeout, so you can get a glimpse of the efforts to increase customer satisfaction in 々. I would like to visit in the summer, hoping that the staff response quality is good during the busy period.

Overall great, good onsen. But the bathroom facilities in the room are old, the water temperature is not enough, the shower cannot be used, and the toilet is still the old one. A room near the sea, but due to the orientation, I can't watch the sunrise, which is a pity. There are no supporting facilities nearby. It takes 20 minutes to go to the nearest 711. The breakfast and dinner are good, and the service is good.
