Looking for a fun safe and clean family vacation look no further. My family and I have been coming to Northland resort for 5 years. We have had nothing but a wonderful time. There cabins are clean and well maintained everything you should need for a week. We actually were looking for a chopper and the owner Tammy went to her own kitchen for her personal chopper to let us use. It was awesome that she gave up her own kitchen items just so we could make salsa. This family owned and operated resort is one of a kind the staff is all very friendly and very welcoming. It is wonderful to see them out and about improving their business. We were told upon check in that they do not sit in there lodge so please call or come find them. This was no problem at all as we always saw them running around or working here or there. They are also proving 3 activities for kids and the whole family daily. Just in the 5 years we have been coming to Northland we have made so many friends that we can’t wait to come and see year to year. This year was especially awesome as we got to see there new cabin that is just beautiful. It is so nice to see a resort that cares about there property and is always making improvements. We had one minor issue that our tv was not working and even that they made easy. We came down to ask about it and they walked us back up to the cabin and showed us right then how to get things to work. I could go on and on but just want to give a shout out to the best resort on Leech lake. Thank you to the owners Tammy and Rudy for always making our trips to Northland year after year better and better.

Rude staff that took no responsibility for the many things that went wrong during our week stay. My family and I rented 3 cabins 10 months in advance with Lakeside views. However, one of the cabins rented was tore down last fall. So instead of a 2 bedroom on the lake they gave us a one bedroom furthest from the Lake. So we were no longer all together. No apology, and no discount on the cabin. The owner(Tammy), just said, “it’s not my fault.” She tried to blame it on the fact that they are waiting for “State” to come out and approve the new cabin being built in its place. The new cabin wasn’t even finished and we all had to listen to saws and construction the entire week. Basically it was just a huge lie. Day 2, our plumbing in Oak and Balsam was backing up into the sinks. We informed staff of the situation and it took several hours before someone came to take a look at it. Turns out the plumbing has been an issue for several weeks and they had to get an excavator in to fix a busted pipe. We went without sewer and water for 1.5 days. Once again we were given no apology. When asked if we would get a discount Tammy’s response was, “No, it’s not my fault this happened.” The cabins were filthy. Floors were not even cleaned. Mouse poop in the bathtub, cobwebs everywhere, doors don’t shut, windows do not stay open and soooooo many dead bugs everywhere. Cabin Little Moose was infested with ants. For a whole week’s stay we were given one roll of toilet paper per bathroom, and 2 trash bags. Everyday I had to go down to the office to get more toilet paper and trash bags. Not to mention there is no one in the office to help you ever. You have to search to grounds to find them. We were told to place our trash outside the cabin and staff will pick it up during the day. So as you would assume I woke up several mornings with trash everywhere from the animals and rodents getting into it. A barrel would probably be appropriate to prevent this from happening. On our last day Tammy came over to our cabin and told us our boat was in the wrong spot and made us move it for someone else. The boat was in the same spot all week and it was in a spot they assigned to us the first day. When we checked out Tammy accused our group of going into another cabin when our plumbing was out to shower. To which we never did and find that to be so bazaar. Very unprofessional, poor customer service, rude, and clearly don’t care about their guests. PLEASE, DO YOURSELF A FAVOR AND DONT STAY HERE.

The cabin we took our grandsons to was a dump 😡 cobwebs and dead bugs everywhere the screens were ripped and we all felt dirty when we left there don’t drink out of the cups or use the dishes I’m not sure when anything was last cleaned!! Do yourself a favor and find another place to stay !!! I can’t believe how they make it look in the pictures because it looks nothing like them …. It’s really to bad because it could be really really cute !! Oh yea put a chair under the door handle because none of the locks work !! It’s a DUMP

We just spent a week at this resort and I would strongly recommend this resort as a family friendly. They went out of their way to make our stay comfortable. The whole family is so friendly. Tammy and Nicole always had a smile and could not have been nicer to everyone. They had activities for the whole family to do. The cabins were very clean and welcoming when you walk in the door and every cabin is rustic with modern amenities. This is a great place and for the price you pay it is in the higher than average rating. We left feeling like we were friends and would like to come back again soon.

Fantastic trip starting on May 20. Stayed in Raccoon cabin which was spacious, clean, and met all our needs. Sincere appreciation for the quality of service provided by staff. Their work is demanding and they have my respect that’s for sure. Definitely recommend this place

The resort has been our high event for the summer the past 5 years running. It is everything a person could ask for to disconnect from the electronic world. Cell service is spotty, WiFi is available but don't tell the kids. Speaking of the kids the resort has daily activities for the kids and a great harbor to protect your boat from any possible storm. One year we did have a large storm roll through and the rock walls of the harbor did a great job protecting the boats from 4+ foot waves. It is a family run chain of resorts that work together to accommodate pretty much any need you may have. For the fishing person(s) the resort provides a free of charge cleaning and butcher paper wrapping of your catch, which are hand delivered to you at your resort.

We rented the Paul Bunyan’s cabin Black mold. Warped floors. Loaded with spiders web and spiders nest Deck railing is so loose it’s scary. Bring your own coffee cup unless you like 1oz coffee at a time. Doors can’t be locked when you leave. Holes around AC and windows. So it’s loaded with mosquitoes at night and day The views were amazing though Gentlemen rudely approached me and said we don’t fly them colors up here. He said those are loser colors and we don’t fly them in the north I had southern flag shorts on with words that said rebel on them. He tried telling me it’s offensive to other family’s and ethics. But when you start swearing at me and telling me those are loser colors Your taking personal. I’ve never ever had anyone say anything else before. I guarantee you go check out country boy farms in the area. You’ll see the southern flag
