Best Western Plus Ilkley the Craiglands Hotel and Spa

This hotel is tired. The function rooms were nice, but everywhere else is dated. It's pretty cold too, not sure if there was a problem with the heating, but there was a tiny oil filled radiator in one of the big rooms. Which was like trying to heat the ocean with a hot water bottle! The food was OK, not very warm and quite plain. Drinks prices were generally reasonable. Make sure you're not in any of the rooms above the entrance, as this doubles as the smoking area, it was really noisy until 1am and the reception and staircase smelt of smoke. Everything was clean and the staff were all nice.

Enjoyed our time here stayed one night. The hotel was clean and tidy, nicely decorated for Christmas. Party buffet food was very good. Would stay again.

It was nice and comfortable. Things are a bit dated and could do with a re vamp in places. Would stay again though. Didn’t have breakfast so unable to comment. It was nice for the over night stay I needed.

We booked an accessible room. Unfortunately the booking system between the central office and the hotel did not transmit our requirements and we ended up with a shower over a bath and 10 steps up to the room

Although I know The Craiglands to be an old hotel it did not have that tired feeling. Our room was fresh, clean and well equipped. My sister had a very spacious suite which was again fresh, clean and well equipped. For walkers the hotel is situated on the edge of Ilkley Moor and for others a great starting place to explore the Yorkshire Dales. The staff were friendly and helpful and breakfast provided an adequate buffet of traditional and continental food. Booking direct we paid a very reasonable price so we left feeling we had received good value for money.

Overnight stay for a birthday celebration Honestly could not fault this hotel /room for the night It was better than we expected for the cheap price we paid ! Lovely welcoming reception staff, spotlessly clean room ! Lovely comfortable bed and perfect nights sleep ! Not we have found this hotel near family we will definitely return in future Many thanks ! xxx

Lacked atmosphere and staff but the staff they have there were helpful. The dinner menu had very limited choice and not that great. The breakfast was good. Neither an awful or a great stay but I was a bit underwhelmed to be honest !
