stayed here recently for a wedding reception at the local The Old Barn at Esholt. The hotel was very clean, warm and comfortable, however our room was a little small but for an overnight stay perfectly fine. They have loads of parking at the rear of the building but on a weekend we were advised we could park opposite on the road side. The breakfast was really lovely, everything was freshly cooked and lots of options. I have to say that the staff made the place, everyone was so friendly, helpful and welcoming, especially the night porter who was just lovely. Our only negative comment was the hairdryer blow up while using it, but a member of staff had a replacement at our door within a couple of minutes. i would definitely recommend The Abbey Lodge Hotel and would re book if needed to stay in the area again

Went early and no problem to park up.
5 minutes to walk in to town.
10 minutes walk to Salts Mill.
Lovely clean hotel, great staff and very nice room.
Comfortable bed.
Superb breakfast.
Would not hesitate to go back.
