This is a lodging facility located on a hill in Shirahama that is hard to find. The building has been completely rebuilt and is a modern facility. The rooms are as clean as brand new ones. There is no bath in the room, only a rain shower. The hot spring for indoor use is a spring water that is diluted with water when it is too hot, so no chlorine is added. The open-air bath is circulated, so it is disinfected with chlorine. I am impressed by the heat retention that keeps you sweating even after getting out of the bath. Although the dinner is not luxurious, it is impressive with the skill of using carefully selected ingredients. The breakfast is also excellent, with carefully selected ingredients and handmade tofu. The rice is from Niigata and cooked with the famous water of Tomita, and is very delicious. The staff were also very friendly and I liked it. If I had to mention some drawbacks, I would say that the futon was thin (I took out the futon and put two on top of each other to deal with it) and the food did not come out in the order of the menu at dinner (although it can't be helped since it was fully booked). Overall, I was very satisfied with the lodging. We now have one more regular lodging option.
