The location was good with being easy to find with GPS, but it wasn’t close to any tourist spots. Although they weren’t excessively far away. The staff were friendly and welcoming. The property was very clean, and the decor was nice. There was ample parking for guests. The breakfast was delicious, with multiple tasty options available each morning. The eggs and waffles were the best we’ve ever had in a hotel. The pool was nice, especially after being out in the 80-something degree weather late into the night the night before. The fitness room was also nice, even though one of the treadmills wasn’t working. Beyond the yummy breakfast, another thing we were pleased to discover was that all the guest rooms, the pool, and the fitness center required a key card to get in, so non-guests couldn’t just walk in of the street and access such areas. The hotel also had a very attentive nighttime security guard. On the second day of our stay, the elevator malfunctioned and scared both myself and my kids when it took us down to the ground floor and needed, but the doors wouldn’t open. Then a few minutes later, it took us up to the 2nd floor without us pressing any buttons except the “door open” button. It didn’t open on the 2nd floor either, so we hit the call button, followed by the ground floor button again. After at least five minutes, it started moving again and took his again to the ground floor. Thankfully though, this time it opened and let us off. We told the man at the front desk as we left for the evening. Another thing, although much more minor compared to the elevator experience, was that the king-size bed in our room made a kind of loud popping sound every time someone got in or out of it on the side closest to the door. It wouldn’t have been an issue at all, except that it woke up others in the room when the one sleeping on that side got up to use the restroom in the middle of the night.
