The Bull Inn

The Bull in Butcher Row is an iconic piece of Shrewsbury history. It is an old traditional inn. The rooms are small and clean. The staff are exceptional. I would give a hearty recommendation , in particular to, Aggie, Mia and Joe, who showed me the greatest of respect. Apart from a minor hiccough with the heating, which was resolved, my stay was a wonderful experience. Should I return to Shrewsbury I will certainly stay at the Bull in Butcher Row.

Great place to stay and good location for all the pubs and shops in the town. Staff were welcoming and very friendly. Our room was lovely and cosy

Lovely pub/hotel, excellent location in the heart of town. Friendly helpful staff and on first impressions lovely rooms. We had 2 rooms, one ensuite and one with a separate private bathroom. Both rooms were well presented and a good size. Unfortunately the bedroom with the ensuite, had no natural light and the lights in the room weren't very bright so when trying to get ready to go out it wasn't the best light. Unfortunately there were no windows in the room. The room was clean apart from a fake nail on the bathroom floor but thst wasn't an issue. The main issue was the mattress. It was awful, you could feel every spring in the mattress which made it impossible to sleep. On a plus side the cooked breakfast was a amazing! Management I would suggest changing your mattresses and pillows!

Bull inn is clean busy at night no parking here use the various paid parking. Most buildings here are Tudor. Great time had for Xmas weekend. If eating out Book evening meals. Shrewsbury lovely place.

Popped in for a couple of pints. Decent crowd in eating Sunday dinners. Food looked great and plenty of it. Nice, tidy and clean. Beer was good 👍 Staff attentive and polite. Nice atmosphere and very central in town in a charming street. We would return.

Great location but "private bathroom" was across the landing and heating was off during a sub-zero night- until about 4am and then only for a couple of hours.
