THE WEBSITE PHOTOS GIVE A MUCH NEWER IMPRESSION. The receptionist that received us was lovely. But we had a problem with the room. Ours was the 'spa ocean view', but the varanda deck was broken, full of mould and with a orange traffic cone blocking it. On top of it, it was on the FIRST FLOOR (left hand side of the building) and that one had the pool dome roof and a column totally blocking the view. Thankfully she acknowledged the mistake and moved us to a '2 bedroom ocean view room' (on the 3rd floor - middle of the building) which really had the view that we were expecting. CLEANLINESS & MAINTENANCE: NOT amazing. Bathroom grouting was filthy and floor was a bit dirty. Our room blind was broken and didn't move at all (had to stay closed the whole time) and the USB plugs beside the bed didn't work either. They held $200 on our credit card AND AFTER A 1 AND 1/2 WEEK, WE ARE STILL WAITING FOR THE MONEY TO COME BACK. Also just have in mind that is a SELF CONTAINED room, so NO ROOM SERVICE, NO RESTAURANT, NO BAR, etc. The rooms in general are a bit dated and old, but good enough for a few nights. Pool and spa were great. SOME OTHER HELPFUL INFO: Transports: BUSES: they are NOT punctual, so be aware that you'll be maybe waiting an extra 10-15 min more. TAXIS: there's no uber there but there's a button in the hotel lobby that calls them, and they are very quick. Prices are MINIMUM $8 every ride, even if it's just a 2 minutes ride. Walk into town is minimum 10 mins. The steep driveway up to reception is pretty challenging too. Taxi and shuttle don't go up. For older people that may be a problem.
