Cockroaches and all types of insects… we counted no less than 20. One for every hour we were there (see picture).
Bathtub was very clogged and very stained.
Toilet flush was broken and clogged, called to repair. No one came until we ambushed a maintenance guy on the corridor a few hours later. Wasn’t fixed completely.
AC dripped water in the middle of the night, huge puddle formed in the middle of the room. We used bath towels to soak. Made 2 calls to ask for bath towels, but nobody came. Ambushed a housekeeper and she was reluctant to give us, only agreeing after I gave her the stained towels from the AC.
Breakfast was mid. But pool was nice, just very deep. Perhaps the pool is the only saving grace.

Reception not smile anytime to communicate with customer, lift need to service due to have different sound, aircond sometime cool sometimes hot, and sliding door problem

The room facilities are too poor, the bedding has a peculiar smell, the toilet is too loud, and the shampoo is even worse. If you wash it, it means you haven't washed it.

This was not our first time here...however this could pass for the only time that thistle failed us so far. The bathroom sink...I had to manually plunge it to clear the waterways, found the shower cap wrapper in there, probably dropped there by the previous guests. By right the cleaner would check on that prior to our presence. The water in the shower was not hot at all though we only turned on the hot water tap...the whole one-night stay was frustrating as we couldn't shower under hot water. The floor was dusty with strands of hairs here and there...wonder if they really cleaned the room before we checked in that day. I'm writing these just to highlight a few things that the management should scrutinise because maybe the staff took it for granted and thought that guests couldn't care less. FYI the room was not cheap and we deserved a good clean space and service. All in all the above was not Thistle during our previous stays...only this one time this happened. Tq for the good food..room service menu was always our preference...very tasty and worth the money. And one last bit...staff who answered the phone, kindly polish your conversation manners. Thanks again Thistle.

Room was dirty. Hotel was old. Toilet will not flush. AC was not cold. Not worth the money paid. Worst part, i come home with so many bed bug bites. If you have kids, please stay away. If you have a bit of extra money, go to a better hotel.
