I stayed at this hotel with my 8 year old daughter for 7 nights in May 2024. It was my first all inclusive experience, but far from being the first time staying in a 5 star hotel to state this this was not exactly a 5 star venue. On the bright side, our positives store the following: - Friendly personnel (some of them remembered that I asked for lactose free milk daily) - Good facilities and generally well kept building and public spaces - Lovely beach with soft sand and warm non-steep waters - Amazing performance from everyone in the animation team, pool or beach - Nice food and drinks variety in the main buffet and at the pool bar - Child-friendly hotel On a less-so-positive side, I would mention the following: - For English speaking guests: Despite being friendly, only a few people of the personnel speak English - this is a German speaking hotel. Some of the staff spoke very well, but there were times when it was a struggle to communicate, even with a person at the Guest Relations. Google Translate (into Turkish) is your friend. Yet there is some well English speaking stuff in guest relations too - depends on who you speak to. - No guidance on the hotel facilities: we had to figure everything out on our own. A good tip for the hotel to introduce daily guide tours for the new guests. - Service: many times we had to hunt for our own cutlery and drinks in the restaurant and move sunbeds on our own. This is with a caveat that some of the restaurant workers were exceptionally nice to me and my daughter. - Cleaning could be improved: dust/dirt under the beds and furniture in the room but generally it was satisfactory. - There is a lot of smoking at the pool and on the beach alike: it was almost impossible to find a place where one was free from smoke. Tip to the hotel: Please introduce non-smoking sunbed area around the pool. - We had a horrible experience at the hotel’s shop “Market” (see the photo) which still sits deeply in us, so I would STRONGLY DISCOURAGE you to make any purchases there. The shop owner refused to exchange a pair of inflatable armbands for my daughter as there was a hole in on of them. Despite acknowledging the faulty item, and seeing the receipt of a purchase, he was incredibly rude to us, stating that “there is no guarantee for plastic” and trying to brush us off saying that he only exchanges the items within 5 days from the purchase (which was also indeed within the time frame we addressed him). Finally he told us to leave the shop and speak to the Guest Relations. Appalled by the rude behaviour that does not belong in any shop, let alone in a 5 star hotel, we complained on the Guest Relations desk which compelled the shop owner to exchange the item. The whole process was horrible as the shop owner also lied to the guest relations about inflating the wings upon purchase (we were not even offered this option). Despite us having the item exchanged, we were surprised by the hotel not taking a very clear stand in this case
